VEHICLE G 307-13
Issue 2, May 85
1. This instruction supersedes VEH G 307-13 Issue 1 May 83, incorporating minor
electrical connection changes and revised wiring diagrams.
2. There are two separate circuit diagrams for the early and the late model GS
cargo and FFR vehicles currently in use, and these diagrams vary accordingly. This
instruction standardizes these circuit diagrams so that one diagram includes all
early and late model vehicles.
3 This- modification will overcome the instances -of- wiring burning out caused by
(-, short circuits in the electrical system ..

Note:
1 . NSN and Designation used in this instruction -were current at- the date of
issue. If twelve months or more have expired since issue, the NSN should
be checked for supersession.
General
3. Estimated Manhours Required. 2.0 (initial planning only).
4. Priority. Group 2.
a. All equipments on issue are to be modified when next in workshops for
repair.
b. All equipments held by supply units snould normally be modified before
issue. However, where this would delay priority issues, equipments may be
released unmodified provided their Equipment History Books are endorsed with
details of outstanding modifications.
5. Modification Application. To all subject vehicles.
6. Items Affected. Fuse block wiring connections and flasher unit wiring.
7. Action Required. By RAEME units authorized to carry out unit or field repairs
in accordance with WKSP A 850.

b. Disconnect the speedo cable. Remove the instrument panel, fuse box
surrounds and blackout switch panel.
c. Remove the power feed wire (brown wire) from terminal 3 of the fuse box and
re-route to terminal 10 of the blackout switch, (terminal 2 of santon type
switch). Use items 1 and 2 of Table 1 to lengthen the power feed wire.
d. Remove the map light wire (blue wire) and auxiliary power feed wire (brown
wire) from terminal 10 of the blackout light switch, (terminal 2 of santon
type switch) takaing care to remove the correct brown wire.
e. Identify the brown wire connected between terminal 4 of the fuse box and
terminal 10 of the blackout switch (terminal 2 of the santon type switch).
Disconnect this wire from terminal 4 and reconnect to terminal 3 of the fuse
