Web site URL: www.vote4stevefrank.com Phone:503-602-2645 Fax: Please limit your response to each of the following questions to about 75 words but be specific.
1. Have you ever been convicted of a crime, been disciplined by a professional licensing board/organization or had an ethics violation filed against you? If so, please give the details. NO 2. Have you ever filed for bankruptcy, been delinquent on your taxes or other major accounts, or been sued personally or professionally? If so, please give the details. NO 3. Why should people vote for you? What separates you from your opponent(s)? People who know both of us tell me I have a better understanding of the role of Oregon State Senator than my opponent apparently does. Observing my opponent as a legislator, I have been disappointed by his lack of understanding of the challenges facing Oregonians. 4. What are the three most important issues you would address if elected? How? (75 words for each issue) A. Successful Families-Everyone agrees, in order for families to succeed, they must be able to prevent problems before they grow out of control To make sure they are prepared, each generation "pays it forward" from family to family. We start with making sure our children are safe and healthy with nutritious food and a solid roof over their heads. B. Long-term domestic job growth-Our jobs come from the same place that provides our raw materials. Responsible, sustainable resource management is the key. Exporting logs creates jobs but exporting raw materials supports more job growth overseas than here. We can create local jobs by bonding lottery receipts and use them to improve and maintain our bridges and highways. Because Oregon's beauty attracts visitors from around the world, ecotourism should become a major source of jobs. C. Tune up the healthcare system-Our health care system is complex and complicated. The health care system needs management that brings all parts of the system together and directs them to the goal; healthcare that's easy to get to and easy to pay for. We know how to pool our resources, brainstorm solutions then design and fund systems that deliver services economically and reliably. It's time we did this for our health care system. 5. What do you see as other important issues? There's hundreds! The bills formulated through task force groups, committees, etc. are moving us forward on education, foster

care, the environment AND jobs, and I will push as State Senator for Tax Reform so that we can achieve stability in our state budget. 6. How would you describe your political style or for judicial candidates, your judicial temperament? Fair, Accountable and Experienced. 7. If you are an incumbent, what have you achieved during your current term? If you are not an incumbent, how have you prepared yourself for this position?Learning the lessons life teaches, education degree and teaching, city counselor for 4 years-I've been a part of the Legislative Session, Legislative Days, Committee Hearings and Task Force Meetings. I've testified, talked with Legislators, Interacted with Lobbyists, received important informational e-mails from Legislative Staff, followed Bills through their formulation, interviewed with different groups and more. I am ready to be the State Senator from Senate District 9. 8. What is the largest budget you have handled, and in what capacity? I'm very familiar with budget processes and rules. As Counselor our budget was $27,066,936. 9. What is the largest number of employees youve supervised, and in what capacity? We employed 80 or so employees in the city. (Does teaching 25 kids count?) 10. Who is your role model for this office the person/people you would most like to emulate? Senators Wayne Morse and Frank Morse. Tom McCall if I can include governors. 11. Any skeletons in your closet or other potentially embarrassing information that you want to disclose before it comes up in the campaign? NO 12. As a public official, your views on public issues are relevant to voters and potential constituents. Please indicate whether you support or oppose each of these statewide measures on the Nov. 6 ballot. (This question does not apply to judicial candidates.) My preference is for measures that benefit the most Oregonians over the longest period of time. My actual voting will be done in the privacy of my home. Measure 77, catastrophic disaster Measure 78, separation of powers Measure 79, real estate transfer taxes Measure 80, marijuana legalization Measure 81, gillnetting ban Measure 82, allows private casinos Measure 83, authorizes Wood Village casino Measure 84, eliminates inheritance tax Yes/No Yes/No Yes/No Yes/No Yes/No Yes/No Yes/No Yes/No
