Masters Message
Brethren, We have finally located Br. Charles Anderson. He qualified for his Golden Veteran Award in November 2007, but he could not be found. His dues were paid for the years 2007 and 2008, so we knew he was alive but where? We finally determined that he was located in Corona and his personal affairs were in the hands of a conservator who had promptly paid his bills, including his dues. On January 20th, Wor. Read and I went to visit him in Corona. Br. Anderson was born on a farm in Colorado on February 18, 1921, where he grew up with 2 brothers and a sister. He moved to North Long Beach in 1940 to look for work. He went to work for the Chrysler Corporation and retired in 1986 at the age of 65. He was raised Nov. 1957 in Orange County Daylight Lodge #625, now Anaheim Lodge #207. He never married and was content being a bachelor. He sincerely appreciated receiving his 50-year pin and certificate, which was hanging in his room as we left. This may mark the year that membership in Masonic Lodges makes a turn. We have already had 4 Fellowcraft passed, 1 Entered Apprentice and 2 applications received for degrees since the first of the year. At least 5 applications are pending for March and April. There are 2 Third Degrees scheduled in March with at least one each in April and May. We are receiving frequent responses from visitors to our web site, www.calodges.org/no207 , and are finding that there are many men in our community who are interested in becoming Masons. Our officers will be busy for months to come. Fraternally, R. W. Bud Coleman, Master

From the West

Brethren, Now that the ides of March are upon us, I cannot believe where January and February have gone. There are several social events on the horizon. First is the Tin Lizzie Dinner, which will be held at El Bekal Shrine Center, 6 PM Friday, th March 7 . Secondly is the Grand Masters Reception held at th El Bekal Shrine, April 13 at 2:00 PM. Need tickets call Merritt Read at (714) 875-6344. I am very sad to say that the trip aboard the USS Midway has been cancelled, all who reserved the event will be receiving their money back. The year for the Lodge is really shaping up as being a strong activity year. We will have positive membership growth, which is truly exciting. There are approximately one dozen new petitions being developed and are at one stage or another, with five coming in soon. I must say that I am very pleased at the support the Brethren have given me in assisting the Master for his year. If anyone has any suggestions as to any event or activities that you would like to see this year, please do not hesitate to call me and share your ideas. May Brotherly Love, Relief and Truth continue to prevail with our great Masonic Lodge. Ron Salda Senior Warden

From the South

Greetings and Salutations from the Junior Warden, Our Sweetheart luncheon was a huge success with music, singing, good food and fellowship as we shared our stories with one another. Making some new friendships that I hope to have for the rest of my life. Well March is upon us, spring is in the air, and now we get more time to do those things we wanted to, but just didnt have the daylight time to accomplish. March 9th is Day Light Saving Time change, so we Spring forward as our days start to become longer. Dont forget to set your clock ahead one hour. March 17th is the celebration of St. Patricks Day, corned beef and cabbage, praying that the luck of the Irish will rest upon each and everyone of us. But probably the best date to remember in March is Friday, the 28th, because that is our Youth Orders Night. We are going to Camelot Miniature Golf for pizza, golf, and to support our Jobs Daughters and De Molay youth groups. If you have never been, this is an excellent opportunity to get involved to support and encourage the young people in our care. For more information, contact Kevin Stibich. Until next month, may God continue to pour down His blessings down upon you and your household. Ron Maxwell, Junior Warden

Editors note: Brethren, Please observe the extensive list of names in the Circle of Concern this month. This is a result of our Lodges positive outreach to the members and especially our widows. Many of the widows would like to have attended the luncheon in February, but could not get out due to health reasons. Another example is the extensive search for Br. Anderson that our Master informed you about in his article. Our Master, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Officers and active Brothers are making a diligent effort to stay in contact with our Brothers, their families and widows to make sure that we uphold our obligations to all of our members. We need your help in keeping our contact information current and also if you have information on a Brother or widow who we should contact. Please take a minute and contact those that you may know in the Circle of Concern and let them know that you care about them.

From the Secretarys Table

Brethren, We are still missing dues form a substantial number of members. We will have to suspend membership for those in arrears prior to June to avoid paying the GL per capita assessment on uncollected dues of those members. Please contact the Master or Secretary if you need assistance from the lodge. Fraternally, Roger Ross

Happy Birthday Brethren

Editors further note: Brethren, this is our first attempt to list all of the living Past Masters of the several lodges that have consolidated into Anaheim #207. Some of the older records of the Lodges are incomplete. Please scan the list and inform the Assistant Secretary of any information that could assist the lodge in providing a more complete record of our Brethren.
