3.1 Glazed Door Kit + Panel Kit
First, as shown in illustration 3Illustration 3-a a, we will configure a unit utilizing a glazed door and a KD panel kit. Illustration 3 3-b shows that we have selected a Paragon glazed 32 x 69 door. Illustration 3 3-c shows that we have chosen a basic inline kit to fill an opening 60 x 71. Based on our selections the software will automatically show us what configuration we can build. This is shown in illustration 3 3-d. Because we could elect to use this panel kit in other circumstances, Illustration 3-b additional photos of configurations are provided as shown in illustration 3-e. 3 Keep in mind that an inline kit fills an opening for only a on door + inline panel so anything out of the ordinary and we will have to modify our kit as would be illustrated on the cut sheet. Once we have selected a picture, we need to enter our measurements. To

9 Conclusion
In the past, most distributors have been dependent on that one invaluable lead fabricator who has been in the business for a substantial amount of time and has learned all the ins and outs. This key element of their business has memorized all the formulas and acquired a very specific skill set. This trade requires a competence that can take a lot of time to acquire. Its known in the industry that good fabricators are few and far between a the and few cost a good bit of $$$. Companies that are lucky enough to have one these few generally rely on this one guru for all their shower door related needs. However, this competence also has its pitfalls. Many times, companies will not pursue a better opportunity because their fabricator holds the company captive to their knowledge. Its not that the fabricator intends to impair the company but rather he/she simply is afraid of change or simply doesnt want to have to learn a new thing. Also, the company may decide that its too costly to finance the mistakes they would incur from switching to a new vendor and re establishing that level of competence. Consider what would happen if the re-establishing guru should leave or no longer be able to work for your co company? Many companies would either have a back up fabricator (if theyre lucky), be forced to hire a costly expert from outside, retreat back to the complicated detail sheets and begin a long long-term investment in training a new fabricator, or perhaps be forced to incur a huge cost burden if forced they should chose to have the manufacturer provide custom fabricated units. What if this competence that takes so long to acquire was available without the headache of learning new part numbers, new deductions, and getting used to working with a getting different supplier? Coastal Industries emphasizes a Quality Counts Program and a vital element of the QCP is recognizing that error / problem / crisis prevention is just as important or even more than solving problems when they arise. Coastal Industries has a strong interest in they their customers well being. We recognize the severe quandary that our customers would face if a situation where this vital component to their companies well being was suddenly missing. The configuration software discussed in this document was initially designed for configuration Coastals in house fabrication department but was later released to our customers. The in-house purpose of the release was to help prevent our Customers dependence on that one guru or better yet, enable him/her to work in a more valuable aspect of the business. At the very least, if used, you can count on an overall increase in efficiency / productivity. With a couple hours training, Crystal Ball enables a user brought in from off the street to do all the work just as fast if not faster than that so called guru. guru

At Coastal, we pride ourselves on the special relationship we have with our loyal partners. Together we focus on our customers through a commitment to quality and service.

As a Quality Counts Program Member, you are eligible to receive a host of benefits.
