The penalty for a company that has repeated an offence is a fine of up to $ 1,000,000, however, an offence that is continued is punishable with a fine of not more than $2,000 everyday. Malaysia All employers in Malaysia have to run businesses that follow Malaysias Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) of 1994. OSHA provides right and protections to a worker. OSHA issues certain responsibilities that an employer has to provide to their employees in order for them to have a safe and healthy working environment. To sum it up an employer is responsible for the safety, health, and welfare of their employees. The penalties issued if a violation occurs by OSHA are very specific for different positions and organizations. However, general penalties do exist, which is a fine of up to 10,000 ringgit ($ 3,300) or up to 1-year jail time. Singapore The Occupational Safety and Health Division (OSHD) of the Ministry of Manpower in Singapore has three principles that make up its Workplace and Health framework which includes the elimination of risks before they are created. This is done by participants in workplaces must conduct risk assessments to help identify the risks within the workplace. If a violation such as failure to conduct a workplace safety assessment or any sort of measures that will eliminate any foreseeable risks shall be fined with up to $10,000. If repeated the offender will be fined up to $20,000 or 6 months prison time. If a severe act has occurred to violate the WSH act a penalty of a fine of up to $200,000 or 1 year prison time. Major companies may be fined up to $500,000.

Australia The Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 regulates most of the health and safety of employees in Australia. Under the OHSA 2004 employers must provide their workers with a safe and risk-free free working environment. The OHSA 2004 also has employee obligations which insists the following duties on employees such as taking reasonable care of their own health and safety of anyone else within the workplace. The most severe penalty for a violation is imprisonment of 5 years for an individual.
