A subscriber starts using the service by connecting to the network with a PPP client. A user session is created on the BRAS upon successful authentication by the Radius. At this stage user will be assigned to default profile based on his subscription details. As Parental control service will be offered as an optional service to end subscriber, a default profile will be pushed by the Broadhop SME to the SCE, if the subscriber has not subscribed to the Parental Control services. If the subscriber has subscribed to parental control services, a different profile (based on subscriber choice as default package e.g. Adult, Children, Sports etc.) will be pushed to the SCE accordingly. The SCE will communicate in real-time with the Web-sense servers to categorize the traffic to and from subscriber, and block particular traffic if it belongs to the restricted category. If the subscriber tries to access the content he is not authorized to, the SCE will block the traffic and can be redirected to a web-page which can guide the subscriber accordingly.
