NOTICE: It is the user/operators responsibility to inspect the machine before the start of each workday. It is recommended that each
user/operator inspect the machine before operation, even if the machine has already been put into service under another user/operator. DO NOT OPERATE MACHINE until all malfunctions have been corrected. REPORT all problems to supervisor immediately.
Functional Checks
Once the Walk-Around is complete, a Functional Check of all systems should be performed in an area free of overhead and ground level obstructions. Perform a Functional Check in accordance with the following procedures: Check OK Needs Repair Set-up machine for operation, according to instruction in Section 4-3 of manual, Machine Set-up & Operation, i.e. install outriggers, level machine, make sure all wheels are off ground, etc. Enter platform, raise and lower platform two (2) or three (3) feet several times. Check for smooth elevation and lowering of platform. With platform completely lowered, check hydraulic oil level in reservoir at ground control station. Oil level should show full on the dipstick. If necessary, add hydraulic fluid to proper level. NEVER USE HYDRAULIC BRAKE FLUID, refer to the Lubrication Chart, Figure 7-2 of manual, for specific requirements.
DO NOT OPERATE MACHINE if any operating placards are not in place or not legible and if a copy of Operators, Safety and Maintenance Manual is not enclosed in manual storage tube.
