We visited Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration or PAGASA, Quezon City Parks and Wild Life, Quezon Memorial Circle where the former President Manuel L. Quezon buried and The Mind Museum in Taguig . The purpose of this trip was to gave us extra knowledge and of course a little bit of fun with our classmates and friends. An efficient and helpful tool to determine the future risks of climate change that was the job of Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services administration or PAGASA. The primary mission of PAGASA is to provide protection of life and property against natural hazards due to typhoons, floods, drought, giant waves, high seas, etc., to utilize scientific knowledge and information as an effective instrument to ensure the safety, well being, economic security and improve the quality of life of all the people and the environment; and to promote national progress and contribute to regional socio-economic development through various applications of meteorology, geophysics and space sciences (including astronomy).

PAGASA, Quezon City Parks and Wild Life the city is a concrete jungle, full of greenery artificially created by people to resemble the plants and trees that nature has nurtured for years. The most surprising scene in the middle of a concrete jungle, however, is not any of those. Its the lush green area, with a body of water in the middle offering a serene medium to soothe frayed nerves. Theres an aviary, wildlife rescue center and other sights, but I never had the chance to go see any of them. It was enough for me to enjoy the time spent at the edge of the peaceful waters of the lagoon. Just like the eye of a storm, its amazing to experience tranquility in the middle of hurried time, unforgiving reality and harsh grind of life forward.

A view of the final resting place of former President Manuel L. Quezon in the heart of a city named after him. He is also widely known as the Father of the National Language here in the Philippines. The Quezon Memorial Shrine is dedicated to the Philippines second officialpresident, Manuel L. Quezon. A sarcophagus is located inside the shrine, which houses the remains of the former president. Quite visible from a few kilometers afar, the first thing you would notice would be the monuments three vertical pylons which represents the three main geographic archipelago of the Philippines (namely Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao). The massive tower is surmounted by three mourning angels holding a wreath of sampaguita, the national flower.

Mind Museum this was actually part of the educational tour I attended. I must admit it was a welcome incentive for me since I have heard so much about this. I did get awed by the talking robot Aedi who welcomed the visitors. I also enjoyed the galleries like The Story of the Earth which featured the very first T-Rex exhibit in the country, The Story of the Universe, and the various interactive displays at The Story of Technology. Further in, The Mind Museum is divided into five main galleries: Atom, Earth, Life, Universe and Technology. Highlights include the life-sized replica tyrannosaurus rex skeleton, the giant light up human brain model, a hair raising static machine and a dizzying tunnel en route to the Universe Gallery. The second floor, which houses mostly Technology exhibit, also holds a fun toilet display and an interactive presentation of an archaic printing press. If you miss playing Pong or Pacman, you will also find a row of arcades consoles illustrating how video games changed through the years. The museum also houses an auditorium, a laboratory ad classroom, Outside Science-in-the-Park setup allows visitors experience playful science through four theme pocket: Music, Math
