EVENT FORMAT With Aadhaar, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) under the aegis of the Planning Commission, the Government of India plans to bridge many gaps, empower all sections of the society and create easy and accessible platforms to use the services rendered by the government. We urge you, as citizens of India to ideate and suggest innovative ways to the UIDAI and Govt. Of India about the areas and applications that an Aadhaar identity can be put to use. For instance, an Aadhaar enabled bank account is one area / application where it may meet the banking needs of citizens. Aadhaar could also be used to improve e-governance in India, thus providing benefits to the citizens and/or businesses and/or the government. The full details regarding UIDAIs Aadhaar initiative can be found on their website www.uidai.gov.in

Round1: Think of maximum 5 innovative ideas where the Aadhaar initiative can be best put to use (as per the above description), and make a PPT of maximum 5 slides (excluding cover page) covering the following details for each idea. Title of the idea Brief Description of the idea Benefits to the stakeholders (citizens/businesses/government) if the idea were implemented Possible challenges

Round2: (Campus Presentation Round) All shortlisted participants will be asked to make a detailed presentation on two of their ideas. These two ideas will be announced by the evaluation panel along with Round 1 results. This detailed presentation is expected to include, but not limited to, the following An implementation plan for your idea Possible challenges and proposed solutions Cost estimates, revenue projections (if any) and other relevant financial estimates (wherever applicable) Benefits to the stakeholders if successfully implemented Timeline of the project The presentation time would be 15 minutes followed by 10 minutes of Q&A.

IMPORTANT DATES Round No. Round 1 Round 2 RULES AND REGULATIONS 1. Event is open to all post-graduate and under-graduate students 2. Teams can consist of 1-3 members 3. Participants in a team can be from the same or different institutes 4. No participant should be a part of more than one team 5. Each team can submit only one entry for the competition 6. After registering for Backwaters12 at www.iimkbackwaters.com; the participants have to register themselves through the online event registration portal on the site. Event registration have started 7. There must be strictly no IPR infringements in the submissions. On discovery of such infringements, the respective team(s) will be disqualified with immediate effect 8. Details on travel reimbursements will be communicated to the shortlisted teams at a later stage 9. The Terms and Conditions of participation are subject to change at any time without specific notice. The amended Terms and Conditions of entry will be effective immediately upon being posted on the website. It is the sole responsibility of the teams to regularly visit the Website to read any changes 10. The decisions of the organizers of the contest and the panel of judges will be final and binding on all the participants SUBMISSION GUIDELINES 1. All team leaders need to register themselves and their team members in our website www.iimkbackwaters.com/avalamb.html. On successful registration, a registration ID will be sent to the team leaders e-mail which needs to be quoted in the submission PPT. 2. Subject line of the e-mail should be Round 1_<Team Name>_<College Name> 5. The cover slide of PPT should contain Event Registration ID, Team Name & Team Members details such as name, college, contact no. and e-mail ID.
