Updated ID Project Description: The purpose of my ID Project is to ensure all new high school students enrolled in our online

credit recovery program fully understand our programs policies, procedures and expectations before they are allowed to begin working on their credit recovery course. All new credit recovery students will work through a series of orientation activities such as training videos, exploration of our student site and a general question and answer session with their facilitator. After completing these orientation activities, all new students will be able to score a 95% or higher on the programs entrance assessment. The idea of this project was generated as our current orientation activities were not effective enough to introduce students to the programs policies, procedures and expectations. Consequently, classroom facilitators begin to spend more time on re-teaching students things they should have already known before starting the course v. spending time monitoring student progress and providing student support. I hope this project will better improve a seamless transition from learning about the program to beginning to work on the program without the unneeded interruptions of student confusion and general program questions. As these students are in this program to recover course credits, time is scarce and we need to maximize each minute available. Learning Goal: After viewing orientation training videos, exploring essential areas of our credit recovery website and participating in a general question and answer session with the facilitator, all credit recovery students will be able to score a 95% or higher on the credit recovery program entrance assessment. Learning Outcome: As students will not be able to begin their course until they show knowledge mastery of the programs policies, expectations and procedures, this learning goal is evident of a Declarative Knowledge Learning Outcome. Students will be recalling information presented to them from the video, site and from the facilitator to successfully score higher than a 95% on their entrance assessment. As students havent begun their courses yet, they are not demonstrating how they know this information rather they will be demonstrating what information they know.
