1) This is a scrapbook. I've found as much detail as I can on each of you and included it. There are some reviews, some extracts, photos and links on each item. Your cover is included as standard, but that is all. 2) The scrapbook is for Paperbacks, but if your readers want the e-books, that's fine by me. 3) Nothing is categorised by genre, alphabetical order etc. Its a browsing scrapbook for Gift Buyers and Readers. I've mixed everything up to give everyone a fair chance. I'm really short on YA stuff and erotica. Not sure why. Maybe next time. 5) If I know you, or have interviewed you for The Wizards Cauldron, or you replied in plenty of time, you have a one page feature. Otherwise you share. Articulate and masterful, the richness of the characters are relatable and admirable. The characters come to life in book one, the Briton and the Dane, where you find a kinship and emotion as your walk through their story handin-hand.

Gwyneth loved to relax to the soothing melody of breaking waves as a cool, salty mist caressed her face, and also loved the rich and colorful hues of the darkening sky as the sun disappeared below the horizon. As her eyes became accustomed to the darkness, she was able to distinguish recognizable forms and shapes. She did not see the figure on the beach in full view but rather from the corner of her eye. She blinked a few times as she adjusted her vision, and believed she saw a shadow heading towards the fortress walls or was the silhouette heading towards the sea.

There's a misconception that 'indie' generally means poor quality. This isn't true at all. What indie does mean is freedom from the restrictive bonds imposed by traditional publishers who often pigeon hole books for marketting reasons. This is why I buy indie, to enjoy stories that defy genre and inspire the imagination.. Who is Suzanne Van Rooyen? There's no such thing as too much peanut butter and I will never get tired of travelling even when the cities start to look the same; writer, musician, dog-lover, beanie-knitter and more - one sentence just isn't enough. What sort of music are you into? I get the impression you're a rock chick. Does the music you like inspire your writing? Do you listen to music when you are writing? I have a really eclectic taste in music, just to give you a hint - the next few live events on my calendar are Prokofiev's Romeo & Juliet, followed by an arena concert by Placebo and then a club gig by the power metal band Dragonforce. The body bag only seemed to suffocate more with Ethans mantra of vampire superiority
running through my head. I knew that I could survive, but simply surviving was pale light compared to thoughts of how much I could suffer through that wouldnt kill me. Sweat ran from every pore on my body, proving to me that we were back in Vegas, or some equally hot place. The black plastic burned my skin everywhere it touched, my face enduring the most of it when my arms got too tired to hold it up. I was not going to be pretty for a few hours after this jaunt. I could hear Nathaniel cursing somewhere beside me, undoubtedly being barbequed right along with me. The truck we were in the back of hit so many bumps on the way that my skull threatened to crack with the repeated blows. After a long torturous ride, we finally came to a stop. I was jerked from the bed, my head smacking against the ground, when they let me fall headfirst. My fangs sliced into the sides of my tongue gouging holes in my cheeks as well. Blood filled my mouth and helped me temper the pain radiating from my skull. A hiss escaped me, right before I heard another loud thud, and an even louder growl from Nathaniel. I had no doubt about his intentions for these men, if he got half the chance.

She pulled back from him and looked into eyes of vibrant jade, sparkling and glittering with desire. She felt the warmth in her feet and legs as the flames caressed her, her skin swelling and prickling with excitement. Am I the mistress here? she whispered. No, said Aidan, pushing her onto her back. Biog: When I left school, I had no idea what I wanted to do but it's hard to envisage a time when I didn't write. My first piece was a poem aged 10, after visiting the Tutankhamen exhibition in London and, ever since, I've come home from new adventures and committed my thoughts and experiences to paper. My first piece of published (and paid!) writing was an article for the Dancing Times, after attending my first day of belly dance workshops in London, eight years ago. As a child, I read and wrote stories, losing myself in the lives of the characters, while in my early twenties, I wrote children's stories and short stories but it was on a two day writing course, nine years ago, that I believed I could be a writer. I liked the character I created on the course and, over the following three years, proceeded to write my first novel between school runs, children's clubs, family domesticity, cleaning other people's houses and stacking shelves in a supermarket. After attending Swanwick Writers Summer School for the second time last year, and receiving great advice and help, I made the decision to take time away from teaching dance and complete the current novel I was working on. 'Destiny of Angels' made me a novelist.

From dark urban fantasy to crystalline punk-victorian, Ive found several indie books to be the quirkiest and most touching pieces of literature Ive ever had the pleasure of calling forever mine.

What is the main function of a writer? To entertain? To inform? To educate? To make money?

It depends what kind of writer you are, I suppose. For me, I just want to entertain people. If they learn something, that's awesome, but my goal is to tell interesting stories that twist people's imaginations, perhaps a little further than ever before. Making money would be great, but despite my outlandish nature, I'm a bit too realistic to say I write for the money.

The State of Maine is a beautiful place from the coastline to the forests. The place where I live and write is one of the greatest influences on the stories I tell. I can hear the ducks and beavers splashing in the creek beyond the first line of trees. Huge old snapping turtles live in the pond and come up to dig holes and lay their eggs in the spring. At night an occasional bear or coyote pass by my dark window. The dirt roads that are cut through the woods are lined with centuries old fieldstone walls. The advent of indie publishing, especially in various electronic formats, has given otherwise unknown voices a chance to tell their story; whatever it might be. We are all richer for it. Describe yourself in one sentence: Whether through poetry, short stories or novels, I like to tell stories. What attracted you to the Western ? Growing up in Montana with its history certainly didnt hurt. I read a lot of westerns by James B Hendryx, Zane Gray, William Colt MacDonald, Max Brand and many others. It was, in many ways, a time of simpler morals. Right was right and wrong was wrong. Not a lot of gray areas. One was judged far more on actions than on words. Rebecca took me aside one dinner time in the refectory and told me she regretted introducing me, that he was a bad sort and that I should dump him. He was dangerous and possibly a pervert. Several of the students at the college had slept with him and she thought I would just f**k him and move on like they had. Get the black thing out of the way. Almost all the girls at the college wanted to try to go to bed with a black man just for the experience and plenty did. She regretted introducing me because I was green and I fell for him and she should have seen that. She counselled me to forget him. Had she said that two months before she did, I would have been annoyed, probably seriously annoyed, but because I was thinking of Luke more and more, I wasnt offended at all and realised she was right; he had to go.

why publishers think the wit and wisdom of shit comedians, knocker jockeys, reality dribblers, Z-Listers, bit part actors and crap musicians are worth a book when they can barely sign their own name on a cheque. It's time for revolution. Publishers have betrayed an entire generation of young writers by convincing the reading public that celebrity is the main criteria for a book deal. All hail Kindle and Createspace. The scene is ripe for change. Just like when the Pistols blew the dinosaurs out of the water in '76 and like it or not, if Amazon exert a degree of editorial control and force Indies into investment in editing etc, then there won't be a publisher left in the world of fiction by 2020. And I for one think thats a good thing. They betrayed us. We shall have our revenge.

The race transpired in front of silent shouts in the sparsely- populated stands, the ghosts of a million railbirds witnessing from the empty seats. Millions of dollars would be bet today, but much of it would be wagered from the comfort of armchairs, laptops on suburban poolside tables. This change in the tastes of consumers ensured that track atmosphere became another slain victim of the internet, the crowd as silent as church mice - except for the wild yelping from those lucky enough to back the two horse which won by an easy three lengths. In the final hundred yards, the big man was cheering on the jockey on the two horse, for all he was worth. Bishop smiled, but didnt cheer. Ramirez, who had returned to his seat mid-race, almost did though: Hed had twenty bucks on the nose. It took a sideways glance from the older man to remind him to stay on the clock.

I read it all in one day and couldn't stop laughing. The images/stories are classic "blonde jokes" that happen to a man, not a woman. With a tongue in cheek attitude this book doesn't demean blondes, rather it shows the many human foibles in a humorous manner. With a writing style similar to Garrison Keillor it's a very easy read and I was actually a little disappointed when I finished the book. I didn't want it to end. (Amazon)

I got hooked on the book during the first few chapters. It was dark and entertaining. The book took a lighter turn though making it more age appropriate. That said, I do wish the dark forboding kept on. Maybe as Holly grows up the situations will darken and suit my tastes better. Most ages will enjoy this book but I think it is ideal for the young adult market at the younger spectrum specifically. I cant wait to see what happens to Holly as she grows older and her schooling intensifies.
