through an electric motor. The motor lifts a 50 g mass through a height of 24 cm.

06). An electron is released from rest from the bottom plate of a capacitor through a voltage of
3600 V and then enters a uniform magnetic field of flux density through a hole in the upper
plate as shown below. The separation between the plates is 5 cm.The electron will move in
a circular path of radius 10 cm.

a) Draw the direction of the electric field between the plates.

b) Find the maximum kinetic energy attained by the electron when it reaches the
magnetic field.
