National examination is still considered as a horrible matter by many students all around Indonesia,even by the teachers and students

parents as well. What makes it traumatic is that the national exam completely determines the graduation of the students. Even after the government has applied the regulation in which school examination also determines the graduation, those considerations still exist. Some students suggest that national exam is difficult while they are expected to gain high mark. Here the enrichment program comes. Schools hold additional lesson for preparing the students to face national exam. Nonetheless, this effort which is expected to be the resolution invites controversy. Then a question arises; whether school enrichment program is effective or not in preparing the students ahead of national exam. What a reasonable consideration that enrichment program is not effective. We see, students must spend hours in the afternoon after theyve done the daily school hours. The time taken for this program is when they got tired due to the regular learning. Then how can students accept the additional matters while their physical conditions are vulnerable? This make the students dont have the time for individual learning anymore. Thus, the preparation toward national exam goes nowhere. Students seem like they are enforced to follow this program. They are there in the class following the program, but they dont have any consciousness. The reason for being in class is only to fulfill the school obligation, instead of spirit of learning.This make the capacity of comprehensibility of students toward the material given in enrichment program shrink in line with the lack of students voluntarility to join the program. The students pretend to study in the class, despite themselves. When we take a look with the essence of enrichment program, theres no eligibilty to say that the establishment of the program is not justifiable. Enrichment program gives more time for the students to be with their teacher,which means they have very good chance to get more materials, especially materials that will be examined on national exam. Since the regular school time used to discuss material based on the curriculum. In short, enrichment program is a special media that is purposed for national examination preparation. Using regular school time to discuss national exam material itself is not justifiable. Not all of the learning guidance programs outside the school are affordable for the students. And not all of the students are diligent enough to prepare for national exam by themselves. Even it sounds impossible if there were a student who capable to learn individually for the exam. All the students need teachers guidance, and enrichment program is still the best way ever to Enrichment program seems rather not effective. Theres no another way though. It relies on how the student can utilize it thoughtfuly.
