FIRST GILROY INVESTIGATION FOR 2009.

On New Years Day, Thursday 1st January 2009, Heather and I together with fellow Club member Angelo Soccio, carried out another search of a major Uru temple site, reported in our March 2007 @Temple of Nim newsletter. On our latest investigation we were taking Angelo out for his first field investigation as a new Gilroy field assistant. It was not very long after reaching the site that Angelo had beginners luck when he found an Uruan rock inscription. I also recovered a sandstone tablet engraved upon both sides with Uruan script. The inscription found by Angelo further confirmed what had already been known, ie that the site was dedicated to both Nim the Sun-God and his sister Ara the Moon-Goddess. Angelos inscription even named the builder or rather overseer responsible for the temples construction. The inscription read:

The Temple of the Sun and Moon built by Saza to which the people are directed in a body. Before the altar watched by the eyes of Nim and Ara. My own discovery, the tablet inscription was translated to basically read: [Side One] Behold the heavenly course of the Sun Nim and Ara [across the heavens] from the Temple of the eyes of the [two] Gods. Nims mouth breaths heat. Gather to observe him. At the temple of the Sun and Moon observe their heavenly journeys. [Side Two]: At the upright stone dedicated to observance of the Light at the place [ie Temple] where the Sun Nim and Moon Ara are measured and their courses calculated for growing crops the Sun on the Horizon in orbit [around the Earth]. Behold the God of the Sun. Behold the Eye of Serpent Nim. Further fieldwork upon this site will be carried out soon as there may be indications of an ancient astronomical calculation structure to be revealed from the ruins of a large central structure already known to us. -0-

SKYWATCH AT MCMAHON LOOKOUT.

by Rex Gilroy Photo copyright Rex Gilroy 2009 On Sunday 11th January Heather and I, together with Ann Taylor drove out to the end of Kings Tableland road for a Skywatch at the above Lookout, which presents a view of Burragorang Valley looking west up the very gully where the Australian/American joint top secret underground advanced space travel technology research Base has been operating for many years. The weather turned dull and there was some light rain to spoil the hoped-for full Moon night on the valley [the weather cleared later that night after we had driven home]. As the evening approached we took photos of the valley before returning to the car at the parking area for a picnic tea. Light rain began which was soon gone, but Ann decided to remain in the car with Heather [whose current bad knee prevented her going far], leaving me to Skywatch alone. I had no sooner returned to the nearby Lookout than at 8.55pm with the valley having become clear of mist and rain to some extent, I spotted a reddish glow rise over the Base gully and another directly south of it, quickly followed by two distant silvery objects, one from each gully, rise up out of the forest depths to shoot off northwards disappearing into the overhead clouds. The reddish glow meanwhile remained for almost ten minutes before fading away, after which I returned to the car to report this remarkable event. That there appears to be another, presumably quite new, saucer opening in the immediate parallel southern gully, suggests that extensions continue beneath the Burragorang Valley. -0-

AN ENCOUNTER AT ECHO POINT, KATOOMBA.

Echo Point was the scene of a close encounter by one of our Blue Mountains UFO Research Club member, Mrs Ann Taylor that had a profound effect upon her. When you read what follows this is not surprising. Ann saw, and photographed a UFO on the night of Monday 9th April 2000 at 10.30pm. The craft had descended from clouds and flown at a 45 degree angle over Jamieson Valley to hover above trees on the western side of the pathway leading from the Lookout south to the Lookout itself. Ann initially photographed the UFO after it had just emerged beneath clouds, than above the trees as it hovered, and again as it flew off. She later described it as a round, circular craft, about 9m in diameter by about 11m in height. This report would sound like many others were it not for the strange fact that she had apparently suffered a mental block without knowing it. And only remembered the entire incident some 12 months later when the block to her memory suddenly disappeared. The following are Anns own words of her ET encounter..
It was remembered in dramatic circumstances about twelve months after my initial encounter with the UFO at Echo Point on the night in question, and is still remembered with crystal clarity to this day and most likely to the end of my days. About 5am, while I was house-sitting for my daughter [ie then at a South Katoomba flat not far from Echo Point], I awoke from a very restless, agitated sleep and felt absolutely compelled to start drawing, which at that time in the morning seemed odd in the extreme. So I got up and went out to the lounge room where I kept my art pad and a supply of art pencils. Picking up the pad and choosing a light blue pencil I began to sketch a blue skinned being, but as I sketched, more of the encounter at Echo Point came flooding back to me. All I initially remembered was that after I took a photo of the object it sat there for a few more minutes, just hanging there in mid air and glowing and making all the trees and surrounding area and myself down on the pathway bathed in a silvery-golden light. Then it moved out, horizontally across the valley and as it reached the other side I again took another photo just as it shot off skywards to disappear just below the cloud base, as if someone or something had switched off a light and it was gone, and I continued on my way home to my daughters place. Other than getting some prints made for a friend a few days later I thought no more of the encounter until this morning. By sketches end I had remembered that while on the path back to the Pavilion at Echo Point, while watching the object a second, smaller globe detached itself and floated down to the pathway about 5 metres from me. I just stood there riveted to the spot in a mixture of both alarm and fascination thinking No, this cant be happening to me, its not real. At this point all the bush noises abruptly ceased and everything was deathly quiet. The small globe sat there on the path for a few seconds and then just seemed to dissipate and revealed a very tall being standing in front of me. He looked to be about 8ft [2.43m] tall and had light blue skin. His head and eyes looked like the proverbial Grey head in shape but thats where the similarity ended. His

Blue Mountains UFO Research Club Newsletter January 2009. head was large and covered in a lot of fine, long blond hair which hung down to just below his shoulders. His eyes were large but not black. He had pupils that were slitted like a cats eye and light yellow in colour. The brow ridges were doubled. The lower ones finished just beyond the point of the eye and the second, upper one extended up and around the sides of the head almost to the back of the skull. He had a small delicate, pointy chin and a long slender neck. He had no ears that I could see. He was wearing a silver/grey one piece overall style garment with a belt at the waistline and it had fitted sleeves and black boots. There were no discernable insignias showing. He stood there for what seemed an eternity just looking at me over and then he walked towards me. He held out his hand and pointed to my camera that I was till clutching in my hand. I saw in my mind that he wanted to examine what had made the flashing light they had seen from the air and as I handed it to him, it was then that I noticed that there was an extra joint at the end of each of his fingers, making them longer and more prehensile than mine. He began to look it over and asked what it was for and I told him it was a simple device for recording visual scenes. Again I didnt physically hear a voice; it was all just words and images in my mind, At no time did he show any aggression to me and I think he was just as curious about me as I was about him. I was told that they [ie his people] were a very benign and old race of people who were very highly evolved in the sciences and arts and that they had long ago dispensed with war, and that his crew were on an exploring mission and that they had no intention of abducting me; they just wanted to talk and werent out to frighten me as this was the first time they had come to this planet. He wouldnt tell me where they were from; he said it was too complicated for me to understand. He then smiled and said he was a mix of both male and female and that he was 425 of my years old and that he could sense that I was unsure of what gender he was or how old. He then handed back my camera and said that he had to go and thanked me for the meeting and exchange of racial information as he called it. I dont know what he received telepathically from me, but I had the feeling I was having my brains picked. He turned and walked back to where he had first appeared and once more the light enveloped him and it rose up and joined the craft, at which it then started to move off across the valley and was gone. This is where my memory kicked in of what had happened on that night. I remember now thinking back that my watch had stopped, because when I got back to my daughters flat it was 30 minutes out of sync. with her wall clock. -0-

NEW URU TEMPLE FIND ON KINGS TABLELAND.

Sunday 11th January 2009 marks yet another date of an important archaeological discovery connected with the Uru civilisation. On this day Heather drove myself and Ann Taylor on a remote location of sandstone/ironstone terrain where I had previously uncovered altar stones and rock scripts of an astronomical nature. Fighting our way through dense scrub and suffering the usual scratches and other minor injuries typical of a Gilroy expedition [no gain without pain] Ann and I relocated a high rock formation visited by me a few years ago but not investigated at the time for Uruan remains. Upon climbing it and about halfway up we found a small, crumbling stone wall with a flat area behind it. Nearby on a cliff ledge was a large sandstone boulder containing two deep, long strokes, one pointing towards the summit of the formation we were on, the other pointing across to another high formation covered in trees. As things turned out, we were to find the formation we sere standing on to be an ancient temple, and no doubt the other formation will turn out to be something once we are able to investigate it. Once on the summit we began making finds. A narrow gap between large slabs led down onto another open ledge where I found, carved and fading into a rockface, a Sun image. Another stone just below the summit was found to bear the large glyphs reading Gather here for Nim. Nearby was a large, snake image and a single stroke for Nim thus The Serpent Nim. The site appears to have been established as a solar-worship temple where both Nim the Sun-God and his sister, Ara the Moon goddess were venerated. It was also a temple associated with fertility celebrations, as one inscription stated, ie Assemble men and women at this temple, the temple of the upright phallus. Nearby I located a glyph denoting Nim and Ara. There was a badly weathered sandstone floored terrace at the end of which was a small altar stone. Any glyphs here had long ago been worn away. *****

The site gave a commanding view of the Burragorang country to the south, and a view of a scrubcovered pyramid-mountain which I have visited in the past, and which contains Uruan astronomical inscriptions. We then found a large, longish sandstone rock bearing a deep mouth carving half buried at one end, the outline of a phallus and a number of glyphs. The inscription read: Upon this platform pour water upon the altar erected here, before the Eye of the divine phallus of Wa-na-ma. [Wa-na-ma was the Uruan Phallic God]. Just beyond this rock, on the cliff edge was a small altar. And, nearby two long deep strokes in a rock for the letter Ga meaning All gather here. We had to leave the site due to approaching bad weather, but afterwards we stumbled upon yet another site, this one containing rock slabs bearing Uruan ogham inscriptions, half buried in forest debris. One set stated Haba, son of Nim. [ie a devotee of the god]; the next set found read: All gather here who are of the Sun-God Another set read: Haba declares that Subah placed these stones. And finally another stone slab bore the glyphs for temple and stones and other letterings stating: On this site the Temple of the Sun will stand. The stones for its building have been gathered for erection here. So here we had found the name of an Uruan not spoken for perhaps 10,000 years and learnt that a Nim Sun-worship temple was once constructed hereabouts, now long vanished into the dust of the Australian Dreamtime. We wondered what other secrets await revelation for us in future searches in this area, as we ended our days work in fading sunlight and threatening rain conditions. -0-

PRE-ABORIGINAL FINDS IN THE SOUTH BATHURST AREA.

During August 2007 Heather and I carried out an extensive field investigation in a dense bushland region within which lies a creek. This watercourse has for millions for years carved its way down through stratified deposits extending back to late Pliocene volcanic times in the district. Since 1969, first with my late father, Mr W F [Bill] Gilroy, I recovered crude stone dawn tools which I realised back then to be Homo erectus in style rather than Aboriginal. Then in 1969 we uncovered a site containing massive megatools of a kind which only beings of exceptional stature and strength would have been able to use. These tools have since been joined by a number of fossilised giant hominid feet impressions in rock shoals throughout the full extent of the creek area, which now forms a lengthy gorge. The tools were joined in August 2007 by my recovery of a large limestone mineralised jaw fragment [lower back right section] in which the remains of two large molar teeth can be seen. The owner had to have stood at least 3.66 to 4 metres in height. Hereabouts I believe, was a population of a giant form of Homo erectus, who shared the area with his smaller Homo erectus cousin, between 300,000 to over a million years ago. Just prior to the fossil jaw find, in July 2007 at a nearby occasional creek which flows into the main waterway, in deposits dating back some 2 million years I recovered the limestone mineralised incomplete skull of a proto-Homo erectus. [The skull bears the flattish cranium over which extends a pointed sagittal crest, as in the now well known January 2006 Narrow Neck Plateau, Katoomba find]. I also recovered a crude dawn tool, a chopper from the same deposit, and nearby a second pebble chopper. Both tools parallel Homo erectus finds from Java. There are other finds from this gorge too numerous to relate here [see The Yowie Mystery Living Fossils from the Dreamtime URU Publications 2007]. However, it is with some justification that I have long regarded this locality as the Olduvai Gorge of Australia! It is unfortunate that my father did not live to see the discovery of fossil skulls at this site, where in the 1930s he mined for gold, yet he always suspected that such fossil evidence would be found there one day. ***** th On Saturday 27 December 2008 Heather and I returned to this locality. Bad weather was predicted, but I needed to turn up some dawn tools for the Yowie documentary we are nearing completion on. Ann Taylor was with us. While Heather stayed with the car on a remote dirt track Ann and I made our way through dense scrub until we reached the gorge. Discoveries were made almost immediately. These began with the finding of two rock shoals containing fossil hominid footprints [yet to be recorded]. Then from old creekside Pleistocene deposits, several stone dawn tools, consisting of

scraping, cutting, chopping and bone-smashing specimens of undoubted Homo erectus manufacture were recovered. These specimens all came from a particular part of the creekside embankment in Lower Pleistocene deposits dating back at least 1 million years. Yet the big find from this deposit was the 72cm tall by 6.5cm length and 3cm width limestone mineralised jaw fragment of a smaller hominid to the 2007 find. Like the giant hominid fragment, this specimen was also from the lower right bottom jaw. It shows three teeth, two of them back molars. The owner would have stood up to 6ft [2m] in height and obviously the smaller classical Homo erectus form. Meanwhile the bad weather was really beginning to descend upon us and we had to pack up quickly and make our way up out of the gorge. We reached the track as a heavy wind was beginning to blow, and with it the first big blobs of rainwater as we reached the car, then down she came as we drove out of there, the rain following us all the way home. Still it was good to make one last major discovery before the year ended! -0-
