Qualifications The ideal candidate must possess and demonstrate strong analytical skills. Duties Performing routine clerical duties to include: filing, photo copying, scanning of documents, data entry, assisting with meeting planning and follow-up with various administrative support activities Must have excellent verbal and written skills to include proofreading with the ability to prepare various topics or subject electronically. Assist with the following: Updating spreadsheets, org charts and floor plans Assisting with activities associated with conference and meeting planning Assist with meeting and events planning activities to include setting up rooms/meeting space Delivery/Pick-up of documents for signatures (between other local FDIC locations) Student should be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio and be willing to learn CAD. Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation Paid Internship Undergraduate Students - $11/hour Graduate Students - $13/hour Classification: Student Intern, CG-303-05 Location: Various Divisions and Offices (Headquarters and Service Centers) Duties: Answers the telephone and is the initial office contact. Personally responds to routine questions pertaining to the mission and functions of the assigned office. Handles routine requests for information of a recurring nature and refers other inquiries to appropriate staff member in assigned office. Reads directives and instructional material pertaining to the functions of the assigned office in order to be aware of new, revised, or amended procedures for that office. Performs basic data entry and routine report generation. Participates in special projects assigned by the supervisor, team leader and/or higher level staff within the assigned office. Performs a variety of clerical and typing duties in support of the Branch. Establishes, maintains and revises a variety of files and records in connection with the work of the assigned office. Performs other duties as assigned.

Assist with organizing and streamline files within the S drive Assist with preparing interview packets and logging applicant and interview data. Preparing/Organizing training and other meeting decks (PowerPoint) Delivery/Pick-up of documents for signatures (between other local FDIC locations) Assist with tracking OCFI staff attendees for various training courses Must have solid computer skills and be proficient in MS Office and database management Selected candidate must be able to perform internet research on various website such as OPM, FDIC.net, Google, Yahoo, Monster and others. National Credit Union Administration Public/Congressional Affairs Office Paid Internship Undergraduate Students - $11/hour Graduate Students - $13/hour Fields of Study Qualified candidates must have undergraduate work concentrating in the fields of public relations, journalism, marketing, public affairs, communications, or English. Qualifications The ideal candidate must possess and demonstrate strong written, oral, and interpersonal communications skills. Candidates must also be well organized and fluent in posting to and communicating on social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc. Must be a current student. Position Responsibilities The intern in NCUAs Office of Public and Congressional Affairs will gain experience in public affairs, social media, and the credit union industry. While the intern will regularly work on assignments related to all aspects of NCUAs public affairs programs, typical assignments will include: Converting press releases, letters to credit unions, and other organizational messages to updates on the agencys social media sites, including Facebook and Twitter; Drafting simple press releases like prohibition orders; Monitoring the agencys social media website analytics and compiling data into visual presentations/reports; Monitoring industry-related blogs and compiling weekly summaries of blog themes/topics; Researching emerging social media trends and developing NCUAs social media resource center; Drafting a story for the NCUA Report on outreach by credit unions to younger audiences or some similar theme; and Proofreading correspondence, draft newsletters, and other communications.
