Benefits for Employees in India Juniper Networks offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package designed to meet the

varying needs of our employees. These benefits are an integral part of Juniper Networks total compensation package and provide employees and their families valuable protection during employment with Juniper Networks. Provident Fund Juniper Networks contributes 12% of annual basic component to Provident Fund. This is in addition to the employee's contribution of 12% of annual basic salary. Gratuity Juniper Networks sets aside 4.81% of an employee's basic component as a gratuity. The gratuity is payable to all employees who complete five or more years of service at Juniper Networks. It is paid when an employee leaves the company. The basic salary for the purpose of calculation of gratuity will be the last basic salary drawn. The benefit is equal to 15 days' salary for each completed year of service. For the purpose of gratuity calculations, a month will be considered as 26 days. Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) The ESPP allows you to acquire shares of Juniper Networks common stock through payroll deductions from 1% to 10%. There are two offering periods per year -- one beginning February 1st and one beginning August 1st. Employees may purchase Juniper Networks stock at 15% less than the fair market value at the beginning or end of the offering period. Insurance Medical Insurance Medical insurance covers the employee, parents and parents in-law, spouse, and two children for any hospitalisation (24 hrs or more) expenses of up to 5,00,000 INR annually. This is floating coverage for each dependant. Cashless hospitalisation is available at all listed hospitals. Group Personal Accident Insurance Life insurance covers the employee up to 3 times annual base salary. Accident insurance covers the employee up to 3 times annual base salary. Group Term Life Insurance Life insurance covers the employee up to 3 times annual base salary.

Gym A free, in-house gym facility is available to employees. Lunch Free lunch is provided to all employees on working days. Employee Education Juniper reimburses up to INR 180,000 per calendar year to an employee for continuing education through an accredited program that either offers growth in an area related to his or her current position or might lead to promotional opportunities. Full-time regular employees are eligible for tuition assistance as long as the courses are jobrelated. The employee must be on the company payroll at the start and at the completion of the course. In order to be eligible, an employee must have been employed at Juniper for a minimum period of three months. Reimbursement expenses include registration fees, tuition costs, lab fees, required textbooks, and other expenses as approved by the manager and Human Resources. Health or student fees, late payment fees, computer supplies, travel, parking expenses, and other unusual expenses are not eligible for reimbursement Flexi-timings Employees can take advantage of flexi-timing and manage their schedules accordingly. Broadband Access Employees can expense broadband access from their home with manager approval if there is sufficient business need for the employee to have remote access. The maximum amount that an employee can expense per month is Rs. 1200. This policy does not give employees permission to telecommute. The policy is intended to keep employees connected to work office outside normal office hours. Leave Paid Leave In addition to 12 national holidays, employees are eligible for paid leave. Paid leave begins accruing from the first day of employment and accrues at the rate of 1.25 days per month during the first year of service with Juniper Networks, India. Fifteen days of holiday leave are credited for the first completed year of service; 16 days at the end of second year, 17 days at the end of

third year, 18 days at the end of fourth year, 19 days at the end of fifth year and 20 days at the end of sixth year. Half of accrued paid leave days can be carried forward, up to 30 days. Public holidays before, after, or during the period of leave are not considered part of the leave. Sick Leave Paid sick leave is available. If more than two days leave is taken, a doctor's certificate is required. Marriage Leave One week's leave (five working days) with pay is granted when an employee gets married. Maternity Leave Full-time female employees can take up to 12 weeks of maternity leave according to the Maternity Benefit Act. A certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner confirming the pregnancy and the expected date of confinement is required. Additional leave without pay is at the discretion of management. Paternity Leave Two weeks leave (10 working days) with pay is granted to fathers when a child is born. Examination Leave One-day paid leave is granted for each exam written, up to five days per calendar year. Bereavement Leave Five working days leave with pay is granted in the event of the loss of an immediate family member (spouse, parents, children, siblings). Employee Referral Program Employees are eligible to participate in the employee referral program. If a candidate is hired from an employee referral for a regular full-time position, the referring employee is eligible for a cash award of US $2,500 (less applicable taxes). The Human Resources department reserves the right to modify any of the programs mentioned above, without prior notice.
