Purna Career Solutions Signs Agreement with Jerusalem College of Engineering to Offer IEEE-CS Certification LOS ALAMITOS, Calif.

, 15 October 2012 Jerusalem College of Engineering has become the latest university in India to sign agreements with Purna Career Solutions to offer IEEE Computer Society software development education programs to their students. Jerusalem College of Engineering, based in Chennai, will offer the IEEE Computer Society's Guide to the Software Engineering Body of Knowledge (SWEBOK), the SWEBOK Certificate Program (SCP), and the Certified Software Development Associate (CSDA) program. The agreement between the Jerusalem College Department of Computer Science and Engineering and Purna was signed by Dr. R.M. Suresh, Principal of Jerusalem College of Engineering; and Dhian Singh, R. Mahalingam, and Meenakshi, Directors of Purna Career Solutions, an IEEE Computer Society Registered Education Provider in India. Jerusalem Educational Trust was formed in 1993 as a Charitable Trust, with an objective of promoting higher education in India in the fields of Engineering and Technology, Medicine, Dentistry, and Paramedical work, as well as Arts, Science, Commerce and Physical Education. Jerusalem College of Engineering is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation and the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. The SWEBOK Certificate Program, consisting of four learning modules with 25-plus hours of instruction each, was created to raise a university student's understanding and proficiency of the SWEBOK Guide's 15 Knowledge Areas. Each completed module will result in a certificate. By completing the four modules, a student will have a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle. This will give students an excellent foundation as they embark on a career in software development, and provide a stepping stone to the CSDA certification. The CSDA, designed for entry-level software developers, is intended to provide undergraduate computer science and software engineering students their first credential toward a solid career foundation as a software development practitioner. As part of IEEE's India Initiative, the IEEE Computer Society is now extending its benefits to Indian technical institutions, especially the faculty and students of computer science, software engineering, information technology, and software applications. In June, Purna signed agreements with Bharath University and Saveetha Engineering College, both in Chennai. About Purna Career Solutions Purna Career Solutions Pvt.
