9:30 AM The Love of God in Election

The Christmas Program is being distributed to the Sunday School and Catechism teachers today. A packet will be sent home with your child(ren) today to let you know the verses that your child(ren) should memorize in order to recite them for the Christmas Program on Christmas Day. The songs will be sent home, also. If your child would like to do a Special number, these pieces must be submitted to Heather Engelsma or Julie La Rocque no later than December 2. Practices for the Christmas Program will occur on two Sundays: December 16 and 23. We appreciate the time that is spent both in memorizing the verses and learning the songs. Pastor Lawrence J. Bilkes of Dundas, ON FRC has declined the call to Hamilton, ON FRC. Pastor David Kranendonk has declined the calls extended to him from Burgessville and Abbotsford.

Free Reformed Mission Update The translation team has other goals than translating the Old Testament. As soon as a book is finished a recording is made and distributed among the Achi. This recording can be played daily over the local radio station. Team members have begun revising the New Testament translation from many years ago. The language and style needs updating to conform to the current alphabet and style. A book of Bible Stories(50 stories), was upgraded and printed. Another goal is producing the Grammar/Dictionary, which was accomplished during the translating process. Copies have already been printed and sold. They are being used in the local schools and copies left in the Library and School of Linguistics at the University Mariano Galvez in Guatemala City and in Costa Rica at the Latin American Biblical University and the Library of Ethnology, University of Costa Rica. May Gods blessing rest on the work as it is being used in many ways.
