Value Chain History of RR Group (1986-90) The company RR Financial Consultants Ltd (RR) was incorporated on 4th March 1986 . It is a first generation business started by two brothers Rohit Prasad and Raj at Prasad both qualified C.As. The Indian Financial Markets were going through a major `Bear phase, which contin ued till 1989. The promoter got themselves a seat on The Delhi Stock Exchange du ring the market boom of 1990. Immediately thereafter, fortunes turned for the Co mpany and it soon established its presence in the Indian Financial Markets. (1990-92) The firm continued to ride the wave of the booming Equities and Debt markets and by 1992 was established as a major player in the primary and secondary segments of both the Debt and Equity markets. RR survived the `Crash of 92 on account of its conservative approach based on promoters sound understanding of the local mar kets. The firm also established a full-fledged office i n Mumbai. It registered itself as a Category I Merchant Bank with Securities & E xchange Board of India in 1995. PUBLIC ISSUE (1994) RR had its IPO in Nov. 1994 for the Equity Share of 15, 00,000 of Rs. 10/- each aggregating Rs. 750 Lacs.
