Jammin in Jamaica! A big thanks to our parish youth for making our 'Jammin' in Jamaica' event so much fun! Thanks to our wonderful parishioners and friends, we made $627 to assist our brothers and sisters in Christ who live in th some of the poorest areas in the world. We are truly grateful!! A reminder that the next meeting is Sunday, Nov. 11 . Adult Faith Formation: Included in todays bulletin is a survey of suggested faith formation opportunities being offered by Deacon Carl contact him with any questions. Our Why Catholic? faith-sharing groups continue to meet. Family Faith Formation: On the table near the loft stairs you will find the November Catholic Update, Nine Reasons for Going to Mass, the November issue of At Home with our Faith, All Saints and All Souls Day pages and other weekly spiritual reading materials for all ages to take home with you, including a Childrens Worship Bulletin. The History Center and Archives Tour: It is suggested that those who wish to drive or ride in a carpool from All th Saints to Louisville for the tours on November 10 , meet here at All Saints at 8:30. Contact: Penny Burns Get Out The Vote If there is anyone in the parish who needs transportation to the polls contact Grand Knight Tim Gahlinger through the parish office (477-6676) and the Knights will arrange transportation for that person to and from their polling place. If you're not sure where to vote in Spencer County, call the county clerk's office, 477-3215. Sandy Relief: In the aftermath of this weeks devastating hurricane and post-tropical storm, Sandy, our archdiocesan Catholic Charities agency will be coordinating donations to help. Relief efforts in the United States will be coordinated by Catholic Charities USA. All donations are forwarded dollar for dollar to Catholic Charities and should be sent to: Catholic Charities, ATTN: Sandy Relief, 2911 South Fourth Street, Louisville, KY 40208 Prayer Garden: Brochures explaining how to honor families and loved ones are available near the display in Church. Happy Birthday: 11/11 Earl Rose, IV Month of All Souls: Our Parishs Book of the Names of the Dead will be on display all during November, and you are encouraged to write in it the names of your deceased loved ones. Blessed candles and handouts are available for you to take home, and photographs of your loved ones may be posted to the RE Bulletin Board in the Parish Hall, as reminders to pray for all the faithful departed during the month of All Souls and of our connection to the Communion of Saints. The Catholic Service Appeal Bringing Christ to Others: As of October 26th, our members have donated $3,420 to this worthy appeal, or nearly 64% of our parish goal of $5,350. The funds will be used in a variety of ministries that will reach thousands of individuals and families, throughout our Archdiocese, so every gift matters. If you have not yet responded with a gift, prayerfully consider doing so today. Envelopes are available in the back of church, or you may make a gift online at www.archlou.org/CSA. Religious Education for Children/Youth continue to meet as scheduled each Sunday from 9:45 -11:15, beginning and departing from the Parish Hall. We ask that you arrive timely to be considerate of the others. Please pray for Abby Alvey, Jaidyn Brody and Lauren Campbell, who are preparing for the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
