Writers Workshop: Continue practice having your child write by stating and sounding out each sound in a word. Remember spelling is not essential when we are writing in writers Workshop (popcorn words should be spelled correctly) The key is getting your child to write. We will work on Concept Bookswhich are easy books that you might often use with a small toddler. They will focus on one concept and one word per page along with an illustration. These will allow your cd to practice stretching out words and writing them. Math
Last week we did very well with learning our dot formations for our numbers similar to dice. We also learned about equal groups. This week will continue to compare numbers but focus on MORE. We will also begin working on the numbers 10-20 using ten frames. Students need to know that 10+1=11 and be able to represent the number using 10 frames. This work is represented in your childs homework packets for November too.
