Research methodology
Welfare facilities this project is based on the study of the welfare facilities and social responsibility activities taken by Excel industries. For this project I have collected data by actual visiting to the company. This is type of field research. I collected information from two types that are:

Primary data is related with first hand information. I collected information as fresh and real data in order to solving my research problem. And also I use primary methods as follows:

I undertook the project on welfare facility of the Employee. For this project I visited the Excel industry ltd Company, which is situated in Lote MIDC. Chamrajibhai shroff founded Excel Industries in Jogeshwari Mumbai in 1941. In 1944 Excel came to be known as an industry leader in the area of agro- chemical. It has network with branches in 7 locations including Mumbai, Lote, Gajod, Silvasa, Roha, Jogeshwari, Amboli. The Lote Parshuram site was established in 1985as an industrial chemical manufacturing unit for excel industry LTD. That site has one manufacturing unit.

Todays Labour welfare is most important activity in any organization. Labour welfare today has become a very controversial topic. It covers a very broad field. Labour welfare is important for the improve employee moral and efficiency, also raise confidence among employees. Excel industry provides various welfare facility to employees. In order for excel to continue growing and developing, welfare and training its employees in respective areas is an important goal for this company. For the evaluating collected data take 30 respondent employees out of total employees of the Excel industry. Through this process company conduct training programme for the improvement of employee themselves as the welfare activity. And also various activities provided to employees as welfare, health, and safety facility. Excel industry provides various social responsibility with welfare facilities. Company run up Samarth Gram Vikas Trust. And also hospitals, primary classes to students, Papad Udyog, Tree plantation. They conduct blood donation champ.

CHAMPRAJ BHAI SHROFF IS THE FOUNDER OF THE EXCEL INDUSTRY LIMITED. HISTORY OF THIS COMPANY.
In 1930 that of a recession, that champrjbhai started his career in a chemical factory at a salary of Rs 25 p.m. In 1941 that he started excel with a small capital of Rs 10000 of which Rs 8500 was his friend contribution. During- 1948-49 he took over the ownership of excel. At that time, excel employed six people. Since it inception in 1941, excel industry limited has been know as pioneer in the area of crop protection chemicals for the industry as well as the farming community. Today it has successfully leveraged its strengths to emerge as a leader in a range of specialty and performance chemicals. Excel environment and biotech division has done pioneering work in the filed of solid waste management and in development of a range of Biopesticides. Excel also expanded its chemicals technology and manufacturing range to include water treatment chemical. The Lote Parshuram site was established in 1985 as an industrial chemical manufacturing unit for excel industries ltd. This site had one manufacturing unit but now it has three manufacturing units. This unit presently manufactures four industrial chemicals.

The importance of labour welfare has been increasingly recognized in the context of economic development and industrialization. The labour welfare refers to the facilities provided to workers in and out side the factory premises such as canteens, rest room, housing facility and all other facilities that contribute to the wellbeing of workers. The compulsory provisions are thus incorporate in the factory act 1948 with respect to the health, safety, and welfare of workers. Todays, labour welfare is become a very controversial topic. Labour welfare concept is oriented with humanitarian approach to the suffering of the working class. Labour welfare as efforts to make life workers. The classification of labour welfare is based on dividing industrial welfare working into three categories

Statutory welfare is composed of those areas of welfare word which depend for their implementation on the coercive power of the government. The government enacts certain laws for the provision of labour welfare in order to enforce the minimum standards of health & safety of the workers. Every country is increasing its statutory control over labour welfare.
B. Voluntary welfare:In this welfare includes all those activities which employers undertake for their workers on a voluntary basis.
C.Mutual welfare :Mutual welfare is a corporate enterprise undertaken by the workers themselves. Some trade unions also undertake the responsibility of workers welfare.
Labour welfare is also classified under intra-mutual activities, which include the services provided inside the factory premises, & extra-mural welfare activities, which include services & amenities outside the factory.

Modern industrialization
Social security system in India has evolved in obedience to the impact of western influence & of the modern urban industrial system. Following legislative measures have been adopted by government of India to promote social security schemes for industrial words. 1. Workers compensation act 1923 Workmens compensation Act was passed in March 1923, and was effect on 1 July 1924 followed by British model. And indirect independence adopted of laws order in 1958.
2. Employees state insurance act 1948 ESI schemes offer both direct and indirect medical care. The direct method is called the service system which corporation provides medical care and indirect method is known as the panel system.

The object of the act is to ensure for the workers employed in the factories health, safety and welfare measures, and provide for proper working hours, leave and other benefits. Every factory shall in accordance with the provisions of the act, take appropriate measures to provide various facilities. Followings are measures to provide employees:-

I noted that all the information only studied as a theory or as a part of subject but it is not only theoretical, it involves short process to carry out welfare facility.

3. Excel industry no only provides welfare facility as per the factory act.1948, but also provides other facilities are: housing colony, learning zone, celebration of Dassara and Diwali, provide coupons for grain shop.
4. Excel industry arrange training facility during monthly, quarterly, and yearly. They have some steps for the conduct training programmes.
5. According to employees training and development facility is more important for the increase moral and efficiency of employee.
6. Excel industry arrange other participative programmes for the workers and employees satisfaction.
Company has not as much strong trade union activity which solves problems of the workers as peacefully.
