Introduction Attention Getter: Do you think slavery is relevant for study in school? Thesis: Slavery is a relevant study in high school. Supporting ideas: Slavery teaches us of the past wrongs we did as a people. We learn from the past so it does not end up repeating itself. It is a vital part of our history and includes more than just slavery it involves the civil war.

Idea 1: Slavery teaches us of the past wrongs we did as a people. Ex. We learn that slavery is very wrong and should not happen to anyone. Ex. The reader learns of the wrongs we committed as a race. Ex. The reader learns of plantations were slaves were held, worked, and even sometimes died.

Idea 2: We learn from the past so it does not end up repeating itself. Ex. History teaches us the past does end up repeating itself. Ex. People must work hard and know there history so the mistakes of the past do not come back. Ex. If Slavery comes back to will be a very dark day in history for we will

ruin all our ancestors worked for.

Idea 3: It is a vital part of our history and includes more than just slavery it involves the civil war. Ex. Slavery led to many things in this world and war is one of them Ex. The civil war was fought over slavery so there is a bigger picture to it. Ex. These historical events teach us many things such as war and the wrongs of slavery.

Conclusion: People need to learn about slavery so we do not repeat the mistakes of the past. Our forefathers worked for the abolishment of this terrible thing and we need to keep it that way. Slavery also teaches us of the wrongs we did as a people all that time ago against the African Americans. This stuff is a vital part of our history and includes so many more things than just slavery it includes war a president being assassinated over it and many other things.

The reasons we should learn it is one we learn the past wrongs we committed as a people. Two, we learn from the past, so it does not end up repeating itself and ruin the work our forefathers fought to achieve. Slavery and the Civil war are vital part of our history and includes more than just slavery it involves the Civil War.

Slavery teaches us the past wrongs we committed against African Americans as a people and race. Slavery is a very bad and a wrong thing, and slavery should not happen to anyone; no matter what the person has done. The student/reader learns of the wrongs that U.S. citizens have committed as a group of people so that it should not happen again. The reader also learns of plantations where slaves were held, worked and in most cases died. Slavery is a very bad thing and should not be allowed to happen. We need to study these historical topics so the past does not end up repeating, itself and so you do not end up with slaves again. As history teaches us, if people do not learn the past and understand it, eventually it will repeat itself. People must work hard and understand their history so as not to have it end up repeating, and we end up with slaves again. If slavery comes back, it will be a very dark day in our history as we will have ruined all the work our forefathers fought and died to achieve. Dont let history repeat itself, and we end up with slaves again. Slavery is a vital part of our history as Americans; it includes so many more things than just slavery it includes a Civil War, a president being assassinated over it, and many other things. Slavery has led to many things in this world, and among them is war. We do not need another war because of it. There is much more to slavery than just slavery, itself; there is also a Civil War that happened. Because of the wars, brothers killed brothers over it. History will teach us many bad things about slavery and war. they are both wrong for mankind and unnecessary. People need to learn from their mistakes about slavery so history does not repeat itself.
