Information for Head Delegates

Dear Head Delegates, We hope that your final preparations for conference are going well! As your delegates do their final bits of research over the next week, we want to inform you a few important reminders and updates. It is important to note that the head delegates have to send in photos of all their associated delegates. Note that without the photo an id card would not be issued to the specific delegate and therefore he would be forbidden from entering RYMUN 2012. 1. Delegation Information Form: Thank you to those who have already submitted your delegates' information to this form. For those of you who have not yet please do so by Wednesday, November 7. This information is needed not only to make delegates' badges and placards, but also to provide insurance for delegates throughout the weekend. Lastly, please remember to fill out the form for each delegate and to provide all information that is asked for. 2. Delegation Preparation Guide: The Delegate Preparation Guide is attached. Please have delegates read over this document closely, especially the Rules of Procedure. Rules of Procedure can differ widely from conference-to-conference, and RYMUN is no exception. Delegates may contact committee chairs directly with specific questions regarding these rules, as final discretion is up to the director. In general, please keep in mind of a few notable rules in RYMUN: - Only one resolution may be passed per topic area. - Delegates may not submit pre-written draft resolutions or working papers. All writing is meant to take place in committee, between delegates. - Laptops and other electronic devices are not permitted in the committee room, although laptops are allowed during un-moderated caucus and outside the committee room. 3. Dress Code: The official dress code for RYMUN 2012 is Western Business Attire, or WBA. A description of WBA for those who are unfamiliar follows: Clothing Suits Females Males
