**H/S Math Club Meeting: Tues, Nov. 13, Ms. Weston will have a meeting to see if there is an interest in forming a Math Club. The meeting will be in her room (1210) during breakfast. **PERT Test: H/S students who previously signed up for the PERT the test will be given Thurs, Nov. 15, in room 1106 @ 9:15am. **PERT Prep & Tutoring: High school students may attend tutoring for the PERT in room 1021 (Millender), 2:15-3:30pm. Tutoring will be available every Monday-Thursday (when school is open). Sponsored by Gulf Coast State College. **Tutoring for Elementary Students: Tutoring has started at the after-school programs. If you would like to sign-up your child for tutoring, contact Harolyn Walker. **Math Tutoring for M/S & H/S Students: Tutoring will be offered every Tuesday & Thursday from 2:15-3:00pm. M/S & H/S math teachers will be available in their classrooms. **FLDOE School Choice Scholarship: The John M. McKay Scholarship is a state-funded program which allows parents of students with disabilities to choose an academic setting that is best for their childs educational needs. Students must have an active 504 Plan or IEP documenting the disability, be at least 5 to less than 22 years of age by Sept. 1st of the scholarship year, be a current Florida public school student, and attended public school in Florida the prior school year (meeting both the October & February FTE counts). **Teacher Mini-Grants: Applications are now available on the school district website. The theme for this grant session is Energizing our Curriculum and priority will be given to programs that include math, science, technology, energy and are a collaboration between STEM and non-stem subjects. Dr. Catlin will be available Thurs, Nov. 15, in the library at 11am until ??? Teachers who would like to meet with her should email her at FC-EF@hotmail.com to schedule an appointment. Deadline is Mon, Nov. 26. Applications are approved on a rolling basis, so please submit your application as soon as it is completed. Miscellaneous **Florida Inclusion Networks First Fridays: Families are invited to join the Florida Inclusion Network (FIN) on the first Friday of each month from now until May 3, 2013. The Northwest Region of FIN will be hosting toll free calls from 10-11:00am EST. This time will be spent talking about the inclusion of your child, ideas or concerns you may have, & FIN resources that can support you & your family. GED CLASSES
The Franklin County Adult Education Courses will be offering GED classes at the Franklin County School in the near future. The next GED Test will be given Dec. 3 & 4, 2012 at the Franklin County School library at 6:00pm. To register for the test or for classes, contact Maxine Creamer @ 670-4481.
