INTRODUCTION

Shows how electricity and magnetism are related particularly the production of magnetic field by moving electrical charges and the production of electricity by changing magnetic fields. two of the most important applications of electromagnetic, namely the motor and generator.DC. motors are motors that run on Direct Current from a battery or D.C. power supply. Direct Current is the term used to describe electricity at a constant voltage.

OBJECTIVES

The objectives of this unit are to, Understand the relationship between electricity and magnetism. Understand how electricity can be produced by magnetic field Understand what the relationship between coil rotor and magnetic bar. Know the value of voltage and current when the rotor spin Know what happen to the result when the value of power supply will be increase. Understand the operations of rotor.

DISCUSSIONS

The value of result is depend on the value of power supply is given to the rotor, when the rotor spin is increase; the voltage also will be increase. The coil rotor only can spin when it attracts to the magnet bar, and it also depends on the polarity. If we change the polarity of bar magnet, the rotation of coil will spin from clockwise to counterclockwise and the result is negative.so we can conclude when the voltage is increase, the spin of rotor become to faster, the consumption also will be higher. The power is higher, the current also higher.

QUESTION 1

How does the rotor speed change after starting? If the voltages is increase, the spin speed of the rotor is increase.

QUESTION 2

What happens to the current consumption of the rotor when the speed is change? The current will decrease if the speed is slow, and if the speed is fast, the current will increase.

QUESTION 3

Compare the power consumption for starting and in no-bad operation and give reasons for what you find? The reading is different between starting power and no-bad operation, it because the speed of spin is different. When the power is higher, the current also higher.

CONCLUSION

After doing the experiment I will able to: Build the simple electronic motor using permanent magnets, coils and split rings Understand the used of electromagnetism in real-life application Understand how the process of DC motor. Understand the relationship of magnetic bar and coil rotor Understand the concept of electromagnetism.
