But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children (Gr.

Romans 8:14
For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons (Gr. huios = son) of God.

Lets PRAY: For all the students/disciples currently enrolled in the ADT offered by URFM. For the NEW seed of Spiritual Formation to find good soil and to grow exponentially. For NEW provisions to continue the Great Commission God called us to do. For the NEW students ready to enroll into the ADT. Amen! Ephesians 4:12-13 For the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.

(Continuation from the previous issue . . .) Last time I presented you a few milestones from the journey of those two disciples from the Emmaus road. Similarly, the life of a the contemporary disciple is a story and a journey. Therefore it is extremely important to ask ourselves this question: If you don't know where you are going. How can you expect to get there? Moreover, a genuine disciples must travel from the new born-again experience level (Gr. teknon = child, John 1:12-13) to full maturity level (Gr. huios = sons, Romans 8:14) into the family of God. In my opinion, this should be the normal spiritual process of discipleship. What do you think? Feel free to write me your thoughts and ideas.

Who is

for you?

MILESTONE # VI Jesus as The REVEALER: Let me ask you a question. At the beginning of the story, when Jesus was a mere stranger, wasnt He the Christ? When He intruded in the middle of their conversation, was He not the Resurrected Lord? When He was just a BIBLE TEACHER was He not the God of the Universe? When He was a GUEST was He not the RESURRECTED JESUS? Of course He was!!! Why then did Jesus wait to build up the momentum in their lives and disclose who He was only when as a host at the breaking of bread? Why was it necessary to move those two disciples from phase-to-phase until He REVEALED Himself for WHO He truly was?
Luke writes, Then their eyes were opened and they recognized Him; and He vanished from their sight (Luke 24:31). Sixth APPLICATION: The greatest revelation is Christ Himself. I think that we too must go from stage to stage in order to GROW in INTIMACY with our Creator, our Father, our Savior, and our LORD. As human beings we cannot jump from LEVEL I to LEVEL VII of intimacy with the Lord. Why is it necessary for us to go through similar stages or phases until we can SEE this SPIRITUAL REALITY? I really think this is a MYSTERY of God. It is like a love affair!!! I am sure that you noticed already this FACT as the result of inviting Jesus (as a guest) into our lives, He becomes the HOST. In other words at this stage in our walk with Him, He is going to orchestrate the circumstances when He is going to REVEAL Himself to us in a radical way. MILESTONE # VII Jesus as the LORD worthy to be FOLLOWED: The two disciples, I am sure, remained perplexed, just staring at each other. Then they just exploded! Were not our hearts burning within us while He was speaking to us on the road, while He was explaining the Scriptures to us? (Luke 24:32).

Thank you!!!: For your PRAYERS and FINANCIAL support. This enables us to continue what God called us to domake discipels.

Please observe that as the result of receiving such a powerful insight about Who Jesus was, the two disciples acted upon it. Luke writes, And they got up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem, and gathered

together the eleven and those who were with them (Luke 24:33).

VOLUME 13, EPISODE XI

The seventh APPLICATION: After receiving the greatest revelation of all times Jesus Himself, we are invited to make the greatest decision of our lives submit to Christs Lordship. We are called, practically speaking, to become involved in The Great Commission. I already said this, but I want to underline it, similarly, a genuine disciples must travel from the new born-again experience level (Gr. teknon = child, John 1:12-13) to full maturity level (Gr. huios = son, Romans 8:14) into the family of God. This should be the normal spiritual process of discipleship.

Matthew presents the end of this story as follows: And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:18-20). CONCLUSIONS: In summary, I would like to present a few important things that were impressed upon my heart from this story. Here they are: (1). Revelation is not for STUDENTS. Revelation is for LOVERS. In academia there is a saying: When the student is ready, the teacher will appear But Jesus says: If you LOVE Me, you will keep My commandments (John 14:15). The sad thing is that many remain to this level just students, just learning and never reaching the level of spiritual maturity. They never get deeper into their intimacy with Christ but always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth (2 Timothy 3:7). (2). When our hearts are burning within us, we are ready for a fresh revelation from God. In fact, this is the number one indicator that we are ready for it. Not our intellect but our hearts must be burning within us when the Scriptures are explained, not just preached to us. Remember what was the reaction of the two disciples had after Jesus revealed Himself to them? . . . Were not our hearts burning within us while He was speaking to us on the road, while He was explaining the Scriptures to us? (Luke 24:32). (3) Genuine disciples go deeper than just lip service to the Lord. Many times genuine disciples must turn 180 degrees in order to FOLLOW Christ. They apply the revelation in a concrete way to demonstrate their allegiance to their Lord and Master. Luke writes, And they got up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem, and gathered together the eleven and those who were with them (Luke 24:33). I like the way Mark concludes his gospel: And they (immediately) went out and preached everywhere, DONATE ONLINE while the Lord worked with them, and confirmed the word by the signs that followed [ Using Visa or PayPal ] (Mark 16:20). And here is my FINAL PUNCH: For the last time let me ask you: Who is Jesus for you? (i) A Stranger, (ii) An Intervener, (iii) A bible teacher, (iv) A guest, (v) A host, (vi) A person known by revelation, (vii) Or is He the LORD and the MASTER of your life? The ball is in your court.
