WHAT ARE THE EDUCATIONAL EXPECTATIONS OF THE GIMFAS SCHOOL STUDENTS WHEN MIGRATE TO UNITED STATES AND WHAT

IS THE REAL EXPERIENCE LIVING IN THAT COUNTRY?

The migration is a problem that has affected not only people within their own country but affects most of the people in the world. Many authors such as -Fabio Zicker, Brian Southgate, Hans Gunderman, Gianmarco Marquez-Monter- have discussed several reasons why people are forced to migrate, within these could be found the following: Armed Natural disasters Employment conditions Economic conditions Study opportunities

Based on the above, the author Sandra Liliana Boton Gomez expresses the international migration is an increasing tendency that has been growing each time faster in the last two decades. It is a phenomenon of great importance for departure and destination countries. This growing trend can be seen reflected in the data collected by the World Bank in 2011 which found that worldwide there are more than 215 million international migrants. The World Bank against this exposes: It is estimated that remittances received that have occurred in developing countries was U.S. $ 325,000 million in 2010, which far exceeds the volume of official aid flows and constitute more than 10% of gross domestic product (GDP) in many developing countries. The comparative analysis of countries and evidence from surveys of households indicate that migration and remittances reduce poverty in the origin communities. The latter generate greater investments in health, education and small businesses. Simultaneously, the capacity loss associated with migration can hinder the development and provision of basic services in sending countries. The diaspora developing countries can be a source of capital, trade, investment, knowledge transfer and technology. Migration is a phenomenon that can be seen in a positive and negative way, in the sense that it generates greater concentration of capital in the host country but in the same way and generates the countries that are under development lost momentum regarding human resources referred.

It can be said that one of the problems that migration generates is a bigger that is no visible. The globalization is a concept very understandable because it is ephemeral and can only be viewed on a reality but itself is not tangible, is why it is a phenomenon that involves had vertently person and a time to another person decided to become addicted to products, to sell, to innovate but is not aware who is involved in this phenomenon of many know but are unaware. The migration era is something that is affecting the world because everyday people are growing the ambition to have more economical power which leads to the ambition of power lower status persons require access to do so "rich people "want, within those things would be apparent migrate for a better quality of life which is not true because the majority of people who migrate to improve their economic or labor tend to reach countries where entering a labor system is very complex and therefore the economic factor is affected. The globalization has always been manifested existing under different names and in different ways by various authors such as Adam Smith, David Ricardo, Herbert Spencer, Karl Marx, Max Weber and many more which initially announced a capitalism that occurred in Europe, mercantilism, colonialism, imperialism, etc. Perhaps it was not so obvious before now but globalization as being one of the factors that are generating displacement in the direction in which the World Bank says in 2005 that 17 million people migrated through globalization by remittances allocated to each country which generated poverty in parts of the world and certain parts of the country. Besides this external factors such as globalization and that effects to the whole world. According to the authors Portes y Guarnizo (1998): the globalization is ongoing dynamism showing increasing international migration In the present, international migration is a complex set networks of exchange and circulation of people, money and information. Many authors such as the philosopher Jorge Echavarria make a reflection on the dominant logics of globalization also refers to this process in terms of the configuration of transnational communities. From this approach it raises openness to new ways of understanding the migration process the current context of globalization. This facts are not very far from reality as most people currently migrating are in the age between 15 and 24 years which left the country seeking better educational, offerings which lead to the best jobs and this created better living conditions.

The authors Stephen Castles and Mark J. Miller proposed: There are several reasons to expect that extends what we call the era of migration: growing inequalities of wealth between north and south may boost to a growing number of people to make in search of better conditions of life, political pressures, ecological and demographic may force many others to seek refuge outside their own country Student exchanges are part of the globalization with which it comes in defining what is an exchange student, what are the implications, advantages and disadvantages. According to WEP (World Education Program) is an exchange student: Is a program in which a student, typically in secondary school or university chooses to reside for a while in a foreign country to learn, among other things, language and culture. These programs are called "exchange" because originally the goal was to exchange students from different countries. Counterpart is not currently required, so that a student can get a period of study in another country without your family hostel in turn to a foreign student. The advantages and disadvantages will be analyzed over the experiences of three students. THE EXPERIENCES 1. JUAN SEBASTIAN CRUZ Juan Sebastian college during lived with his mother, father and sister. Sebastian started studying military to gym Colombian air force (gimfa) in grade 6 . He graduated in 2008 in a promotion of 75 student s. Sebastian school leaving home to make tests to study in a pilot academy in the United States, the whole process was perfect until he had to appear before the American embassy to obtain a student visa which was not easy because he had to attend more than 4 times the embassy interviews with different officers for approval of student visa. All papers approved proceeded to go to study in the U.S., where the specific situation was hard, going through immigration in America where the officers had about 3 to 4 hours investigating his life and asking routine questions for them.

During his career lived within the academy and by the same profession met many countries. Juan Sebastian currently have a commercial pilot license and has to fly in almost all countries of the world, less in consideration of war.

2. JORDY EMMANUEL TARQUINO BREVERA In the year 2005 a student called Jordy Emmanuel Tarquino Brevera decided to migrate to United States to study. The student decides to migrate because in this country he would find an opportunity of the study of the English language. At the beginning it was not easy because to start when going to graduate was to be a subject (estimate) for which the degree was delayed and could see the journey to "Virginia" where the quota had to study English. Due to the loss of this area Emmanuel parents were forced to pay extracurricular classes to level this situation. The day of recovery of the material the teacher in charge of monitoring the examination by the student discovered plagiarism in recovery which affected the degree. Emmanuel ended up graduating on December 2nd, 2005 and in January 2006 traveled to Virginia. When he initially moved to the United States he lived in a house of a Chinese family. He says that there, he had to learn to cook, to wash clothes, to organize his room and says what the hardest thing was to learn was to distribute the money so that he could afford to cover all the needs. During this time, he began to feel that his place was not in this household, that there is not growing as a person but felt stuck so decided to travel back to Colombia. Emmanuel arrived to Colombia in 2009, this time he decided to start studying at the Universidad Sergio Arboleda, law, and his mother is a lawyer too this profession and he wanted to follow her footsteps. Emmanuel knew deep down that this was not indicated because the B.A. was not as he expected. He did not feel that their potential did not respond to the demands of this career. This young man only one semester of law. In 2010 he began a career in journalism and speech, in the telecommunications institute who met Natalia motive and incentive to culminate this career. By difficulties she decided to travel back to the U.S. to study search opportunities and working to see if "one could forget the situation experienced with narrow".

His second trip to United States was something that gave a total turn their lives and situations that occurred that brought sadness, nostalgia, resentment and reflection to Emmanuels life. He had to look to start to live again, in the midst of his search returned some Colombians who offered him lodging, he did not last long as the differences of thoughts and habits every day generate further discussion within the home. During this process, the boy's father traveled with his brother, Bryan 11 years at the time, to find a new home to stay. Emmanuel eventually ends up living with a Colombian friend of the father which offered him shelter with little money which seemed appropriate to the parent and therefore to Emmanuel. Within the plans I had Mr. Henry, Emmanuel and Bryan Pope, was leaving his youngest son also in the U.S. to initiate the study of the English language. This fact alone remained in plans for 2 or 3 months. Emmanuel's father returned to Colombia with Bryan, but did not know what the reality was of in the U.S. with Emmanuel and his Colombian friend. "Martha" was the woman that lived now with Emmanuel, which by economic factors end up arguing with the boy on more than one occasion, the situation that most affected Emmanuel was that one night in a discussion with the woman that was already public; this ended up out of the house and let sleeping outside. The next day without further alternative, Emmanuel decided to rent a bedroom with an Irish family and place the complaint before the competent authorities of what had happened to Martha. Emmanuel decided to consider the possibility of giving legal papers Emmanuel, give citizenship. Due to this right violation, Emmanuel obtain his green card that is a positive thing in the U.S Emmanuel has not yet status of citizen or resident because the process has been carried out with the events that have led several citations in the American courts, but also gives thanks to God that allowed him to learn new experiences and helped him to mature and face life alone. Bryan will graduate next year from college and one of his plans apparently is to travel to U.S for studying English with his brother. Today Emmanuel seeks to travel to Colombia 2 or 3 times a year to see his family without neglecting his work in the U.S. in a station being the Christian broadcaster this without neglecting their studies in speech.

These experiences show that it is possible to study in other countries acquiring superior knowledge and acquiring new cultural experiences. This proves that we can all study in other countries and learn things theoretically and experientially.
