Samaritans Purse 2012: Operation Christmas Child


The shoebox collection and Dedication for our church will be held on Sunday October 7th. Boxes and leaflets/envelopes are still available in the foyer and downstairs. Our church hall will be the Portland district Drop-Off Centre - open for collection from 12:00-2:00pm each Tuesday in October. Please call Mark (0407 541 760), Robyn (5521 1562) or Wilma (5523 3595) with any queries. Processing Volunteers ~ If you will be in Melbourne and can spare a few hours, the Christmas Child Processing Centre would like volunteers to prepare shoe boxes for their overseas journey. Our weekly Prayer Group meeting is held each Tuesday at the Church House from 10:30-11:30am. Everyone is encouraged to join in this vital ministry. You will find a very warm welcome there! And dont forget - special Prayer time on Thursdays at 7:30pm when we pray specifically for the new full-time Pastor who God has been preparing for us.

Bayview is proud of the opportunities and choices we offer to students. In 2012 11% of students completing VCE achieved an ATAR above 90 and 26% were placed in the top 20% of the state. 93% of students received a First Round Tertiary Offer including courses in Biomedicine, Dentistry, Arts, and Aeronautical Engineering Bayview offers an extensive range of VCE subjects in the senior years and a broad range of electives in Years 9 and 10 allowing students to develop their individual gifts and skills and realise their full potential. Parents are welcome to use the Parents room just off the foyer, with activities for children up to 2 years, if your child is unsettled. It is soundlinked to the auditorium. The Preschooler Sunday School runs throughout the service, with Bible stories, activities and crafts. For ages 2 years to Prep, downstairs (door just past side gate).
