Sunday School News

Our Sunday School classes are now in recess for the holidays and resume on October 14th. We ask Gods blessing on all those who are travelling and trust everyone will keep safe. A very warm welcome also to everyone visiting Portland. Thoughts for the week ...
If you want to stay young, associate with young people; if you want to feel your age, try to keep up with them. The most influential of all educational factors is the conversation in a childs home.

Update from Norm Roberts - NT Missionary with Global InterAction

Following Norms recent accident at Ali Curung when he lost the first section of his left hand ring finger, we have been praying for his recovery - and patience. Norm let us know this week that his finger is healing well although more time is needed of course. Less than 2 weeks after the accident Norm was back out in the field, taking charge of a group of Torquay Baptists for 10 days on the communities. Norm wants to thank everyone for their prayers - and also for the giant Get Well card received from our congregation this week - all very much appreciated.
