LITURGY OF THE WORD FIRST READING (read: Fely Simbol)

The woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.

A reading from the Book of Proverbs( 31:10-13, 19-20, 30-31) When one finds a worthy wife, her value is far beyond pearls. Her husband, entrusting his heart to her, has an unfailing prize. She brings him good, and not evil, all the days of her life. She obtains wool and flax and makes cloth with skillful hands. She puts her hands to the distaff, and her fingers ply the spindle. She reaches out her hands to the poor, and extends her arms to the needy. Charm is deceptive and beauty fleeting; the woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Give her a reward of her labors, and let her works praise her at the city gates. The Word of the Lord. All: Thanks be to God.

RESPONSORIAL PSALM Response: The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord. Blessed the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he has chosen for his own inheritance. But see, the eyes of the Lord are upon those who fear him, upon those who hope for his kindness. ( \ Response:.... The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord) Our soul waits for the Lord, who is our help and our shield, For in him our hearts rejoice; in his holy name we trust. ( \ Response:.... The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord) May your kindness, O Lord, be upon us who have put our hope in you. ( \ Response:.... The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord)

SECOND READING (Read- Melissa Jones)

Love is patient and kind

A reading from the First Letter to the Corinthians (12:3113:8) But earnestly desire the higher gifts. And I will show you a still more excellent way... Love is patient and kind; love is not jealous or boastful; it is not arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not hold on to what was wrong, but holds on to what was right. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends; as for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. For our knowledge is imperfect and our prophecy is imperfect; but when the perfect comes, the imperfect will be swept away. The Word of the Lord. All: Thanks be to God.

ALLELUIA (Read- Melissa Jones)) All: Reader: Alleluia, alleluia! God is love; let us love one another as God has loved us. Alleluia! All: Alleluia, alleluia!

GOSPEL Priest: All: Priest: All: The Lord be with you. And with your spirit. A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Saint John. (17:20-26) Glory to you, O Lord.

Jesus prayed: I ask not only on behalf of these, but also on behalf of those who will believe in me through their word, that they may all be one. As you, Father, are in me and I am in you, may they also be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. The glory that you have given me I have given them, so that they may be one, as we are one, I in them and you in me, that they may become completely one, so that the world may know that you have sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. Father, I desire that those also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory, which you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world. "Righteous Father, the world does not know you, but I know you; and these know that you have sent me I made your name known to them, and I will make it known, so that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them. Priest: All: The Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.

THE LIGHTING OF THE UNITY CANDLE Fr Franz: The Unity Candle ceremony symbolizes the merging of two people and two families into one. Two candles signify the two separate entities. The bride and groom use these flames to light the unity candle, signifying the two becoming one. For Catholics, the unity candle can also signify Christ's role as the centre of the marriage. Not only are the two individuals joined together, they are also one in Christ. RECEIVING THE COUPLE INTO THE COMMUNITY Fr. I believe in God All: The Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; he descended into hell; on the third day he rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting. Amen.

PREFACE

The great sacrament of Matrimony

Fr. Franz: It is truly right and just, our duty and salvation, always and everywhere to give thanks, Lord, holy Father, almighty and eternal God, through Christ our Lord. For in him you have made new covenant with your people so that, as you have redeemed man and woman by the mystery of Christs Death and Resurrection, so in Christ you might make them partakers of divine nature and joint heirs with him of heavenly glory. In the union of husband and wife you give a sign of Christs loving gift of grace, so that the Sacrament we celebrate might draw us back more deeply into the wondrous design of your love. And so, with Angels and all Saints, we praise you, and without end we acclaim: 21

At the end of the preface, he joins his hands and, together with the people, conclude it by saying aloud:
SANCTUS Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of host, heaven and earth are full of Your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.

22

EUCHARISTIC PRAYER II

The priest , with hands extended, says: Celebrant alone.

Fr. Franz: You are indeed Holy, O Lord, the fount of all holiness.

He joins his hands and, holding them outstretched over the offerings he says: Celebrant with concelebrants.
Make holy, therefore, these gifts, we pray, by sending down your Spirit upon them like the dewfall,

He joins his hands and, making the sign of the cross once over both bread and chalice, says:
so that they may become for us the Body and +Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.

He joins his hands. The words of the Lord in the following formulas should be spoken clearly and distinctly, as their meaning demands.
At the time he was betrayed and entered willingly into his Passion,

He takes the bread and, raising it a little above the altar continues:
he took bread and, giving thanks, broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying:

He bows slightly.
TAKE THIS, ALL OF YOU, AND EAT OF IT, FOR THIS IS MY BODY, WHICH WILL BE GIVEN UP FOR YOU. 23

He shows the consecrated host to the people, places it on the paten, and genuflects in adoration. Then he continues:
In a similar way, when supper was ended,

He takes the chalice and, raising it a little above the altar continues:
he took the chalice and, once more giving thanks, he gave it to his disciples, saying:

He bows slightly.
TAKE THIS, ALL OF YOU, AND DRINK FROM IT, FOR THIS IS THE CHALICE OF MY BLOOD, THE BLOOD OF THE NEW AND ETERNAL COVENANT, WHICH WILL BE POURED OUT FOR YOU AND FOR MANY FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS. DO THIS IN MEMORY OF ME.

He shows the chalice to the people, places it on the corporal, and genuflects in adoration. Then he sings or says:

The mystery of faith:

All:

When we eat this Bread and drink this Cup, we proclaim your Death, O Lord, until you come again.

24

With hands extended, the presider says: Celebrant with concelebrants*

Therefore, as we celebrate the memorial of his Death and Resurrection, we offer you, Lord, the Bread of life and the Chalice of salvation, giving thanks that you have held us worthy to be in your presence and minister to you. Humbly we pray that, partaking of the Body and Blood of Christ, we may be gathered into one by the Holy Spirit. Remember, Lord, your Church, spread throughout the world, and bring her to the fullness of charity, together with Benedict, our Pope and Philipp, our Bishop and all the clergy. Remember also our brothers and sisters who have fallen asleep in the hope of the resurrection, and all who have died in your mercy: welcome them into the light of your face. Have mercy on us all, we pray, that with the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, with the blessed Apostles, and all the Saints who have pleased you throughout the ages, we may merit to be coheirs to eternal life, and may praise and glorify you

He joins hands.
through Your Son, Jesus Christ.

He takes the chalice and the paten with the host and , lifting up, sing or says:
25

DOXOLOGY Through him, and with him, and in him, O God, almighty Father, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, all glory and honour is yours, for ever and ever. All: Amen.

26
