New Years Eve Dance: As previously announced, there will be no dance on New Years Eve. th The Catholic Service Appeal Bringing Christ to Others: As of November 19 , parishioners have donated or pledged a total of $6,355, exceeding our parish goal of $5,350. We thank those who have made a contribution, and ask that if you have not yet responded with a gift, prayerfully consider doing so today. Envelopes are available in the back of church, or you may make a gift online at www.archlou.org/CSA. God bless you for your generosity. Religious Education for Children/Youth will not meet this Sunday for our Thanksgiving Break. All parishioners are nd invited to attend our Advent Family Session next Sunday, December 2 , and we ask that children be accompanied by an adult as a way to provide faith formation for all generations. Contact Diane Black with any questions. RCIA: We ask that you pray for the inquirers and the RCIA team members through out their faith journey. Liturgical Ministry Schedule: The December schedule will be mailed early this week. Please note the assignments for next weekend listed below, and remember to contact a substitute if you are unable to fulfill your assigned ministry. Family Faith Formation: On the table near the loft stairs you will find the November issues of Catholic Update, Nine Reasons for Going to Mass, and At Home with our Faith, and other take-home materials for all ages. Safe Environment: The Archdiocese of Louisville mandates background checks for all volunteers who are working with, or around, youth 18 years and younger. We are required to update these background checks every five years. Many parishioners at the 5-year mark and several have already received letters and forms from Fr. Dale, asking to have these completed and returned to Laura Zoeller in the parish office as quickly as possible. Advent Preparations: Next weekend we will have available a variety of take-home material you can use to spiritually prepare for the season of Advent, including Advent candle sets, the daily devotional, the Little Blue Book, and a weekly prayer and reflection sheet from Liturgy Training Publications, The Word to Go. Advent Charity: Our parish is participating again this year in the Spencer Co. Public Schools annual Christmas assistance program for children of families who qualify. You may choose one of 30 Angels with a Wish List these Angels are available from Mary Anne Cecil, 477-6035, who is coordinating this program. Read the bulletin for additional information regarding the deadline and other details. Consider sharing an angel with another family, keeping in mind that this may be the only Christmas these children may have. In addition, we are also participating in the Marine Corps Leagues Toys for Tots drive. You may bring an unwrapped game or toy to donate the collection boxes are in the Parish Hall and outside the Parish Offices - Bruce Kapfhammer is the contact at 477-2963.
