LESSON PLAN FORMAT YEAR : LEVEL: 3 KECUBUNG Mix ability DATE: 18 OCTOBER 2012 TIME : 9.10 -10.

THEME: World of family TOPIC: Parts of body OBJECTIVE: 3.2.1 4.1.3 Complete linear and non-linear text. Produce simple creative works with guidance.

LEARNING OUTCOMES: By the end of the lesson pupils should be able to : 1. To name function of parts of body 5 out of 7 correctly. 2. Fill in the blanks with correct name of parts of body to complete 5 out of 6 sentences correctly. 3. To make art works using chop method with their fingers creatively. MORAL VALUES : Respect , tolerance and thankful.

EDUCATIONAL EMPHASIS: Reading and Writing. INSTRUCTIONAL AIDS : Picture cards , power point slides show , worksheet , drawing Paper and water colours. PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE: Pupils had learnt about basic parts of body in year 2. REFERENCES: Ttextbook , activity book and HSP. TEACHING PROCEDURE: STAGE WARM UP (5 minutes) INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITY - Teacher shows Power point slides contains song head ,shoulder ,knees and toe. LEARNING ACTIVITY Pupils listen the songs. NOTES Thinking skills: predicting

Asks pupils to listen to the song. Teacher asks pupils to sing the song together with the teacher.

Pupils sing the songs with teacher guide.

Appendix 1 : Song in power points slide show.

PRESENTATION ( 15 minutes )

Teacher relates the song to the lesson they will learn. Teacher stresses parts of body. Teacher shows flash cards contains picture of parts body. Teacher drills parts of body with actions. Teacher stress on pronunciation and spelling.

Pupils answer teachers questions. Pupils repeat after teacher name of parts of body. Pupils do the action with teacher guide.

PRACTICE (15 minutes )

Group work - Teacher divides pupils into 4 groups. - Teacher distributes picture cards of parts of body to each groups. - Teacher asks each group to name the use or function of the parts of body. - Each group presents their work in front of the class. - Teachers gives marks to the correct answers. - Teacher stress on moral values.

Pupils sit in the group. Each group discuss the correct answer for the task given. Pupils present their work.

Pair work - Teacher distributes a worksheet and asks pupils to fill in the blanks with their pair.

Pupils discuss with Appendix 3: their pair and fill Worksheet in the blanks with correct answer.

PRODUCTION (20 minutes )

Individual work - Teacher asks pupils to take out their drawing paper and water colour and put on their desks. - Teacher explains that today they will use their fingers to chop on drawing paper to do arts. - Teachers asks the pupils to use their own creativity to complete the task.

Pupils take out their drawing paper and water colour. Pupils listen to teacher instruction carefully. Pupils create their own arts using their fingers to chop on drawing paper based on their creativity and imagination.

CLOSURE 5 ( minutes )

Teacher shows Power point slide show contains song head shoulder knees and toes. Teacher sings the song with pupils and asks pupils to do the action.

Pupils sing the song and do the action with teacher guide.
