Materials (including source): English File Upper Intermediate Students book (Oxenden, latham-Koenig) P 104107 English File Upper Intermediate Workbook (Oxenden, latham-Koenig)P 64-65 Audio for above as possible gapfill P105 (T7.3) WB & markers / audio visuals & projector / realia Game 2. 2 x Packets each 4 Photographs & 12 sentences H/O 1 (own input + adaption of P 64 ex 2 (WB), and P106 Practice b (SB) H/O 2. Extra exercises if there is time P 106 Practice A (WB) Assumptions: The students will be familiar with these expressions already but may not completely understand them or use them confidently. Problems & Solutions in classroom management: Timing The students may need more time (or less time) than allocated. Be prepared to add or curtail activities to allow a balanced lesson. the students love to talk allow reasonable time for the speaking activity and bring them back to focused FB and Round-off promptly. Space The activity Game 2 requires team work and space on a surface to lay out the sentences check if possible to borrow 2 red tables from the corridor for this activity.
