I was among prize winners list (mostly within top 10) in several other (>20) online Indian programming contests. I have been consistently ranking among the top 20 Indian programmers in CODECHEFs Monthly Algorithm Challenge for last 2 years. My best rank was 3rd in India in May 2011. CODECHEF is an online programming contest giving away cash prize money. In CODE-CHEF one has to compete against students from IITs, IIITs and professional programmers from all over the world. I am a regular programmer in the following Online Programming Judges: CODE-CHEF(Ranked within top 150 programmers worldwide) SPOJ (Ranked within top 300 out of 90,000 programmers worldwide and within top 70 in INDIA) CODFORCES (Green Card Rated Coder) TOPCODER


POSTS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

I was the Problem Setter and Tester of the Online Programming Contest of IEM(heldonFeb,2011).It experienced 1182 unique IP visits and 2577 submissions during the contest hours which is a record for any external short contest hosted on Codechef surpassing IIT-Kanpurs and NIT-Trichys contest in that academic year. I was the Students Representative of the KOLKATA chapter of CODE-CHEF.I was responsible for deciding agenda, planning and conducting programmers meet-ups and other activities at this chapter. June 2010 July 2010 Research Project on Bioinformatics, Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata-This is a research project under Dr. Rajat Kumar Dey , Machine Intelligence Unit, Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata. We are working to improve few algorithms using Petrinet and implement it on a biochemical synthetic network. August 2010 September 2010 Research Project on Edge detection of a coloured image, Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata-This is a research project under Dr. Biddut Baran Chowdhury, Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition Unit, Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata. We are working to develop an improved algorithm to detect edges of a coloured image based on fuzzy mathematical morphology. September 2010 March 2011 Elliptive Curve Cryptography-This is a project under Prof. Madhab Samanta , IEM.We worked to Improve the Elliptic Curve Diffie-Hellman Key Agreement. Qualified for National Level of National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) organised by NCERT, Govt. of INDIA. Cleared Zonal Informatics Olympiad in 2005(i.e. Ranked within top 2% students) Was qualified in Extended Merit List of IITJEE-2007 Won several prizes in Mathematics competitions both at school and college level.
