INTRODUCTION
As a part of curriculum the students of bachelor of business

administration are conducting a management project. It gives the student practical knowledge and help to know about the organization. So the researcher is conducting a study on the topic A Study on effectiveness of dealers satisfaction in Kamco Agriculture is a way of life, a tradition that for countries has shaped the thought, the outlook, the culture and economic life of India .Life on earth is supported by the inches of earth curst, fulfilling the basic need of food, shelter and clothing. Over hundred million India farms and farm workers have been the back bone of Indian agriculture .In the beginning, ancient methods have adopted by farmers. All crops are produced and prepared by human muscles. The entire process from rowing the seed till harvesting was a time consuming process which required a lot of labour work. The cost of production was high and the benefits were not promising. Indian agriculture has contributed significantly in achieving self

sufficiently to avoid food shortage in our country. Agriculture is therefore and will continue to be the central to the development of the country. Rapid growth of agriculture is essential not only to achieve self reliance at national level but also for house hold food security. The existing agriculture scenario presented a dismal

picture of traditional forming method, low yielding seeds, primitive implements and unsuited to large scale cultivation. The only solution for this is mechanized farming which could turn around the virtual fortune of India. I n order to achieve this objective ,indigenous agro machinery units were to be set up, without resorting to imports ,which undoubtedly posed a heavy burden on the nations exchequer and were hardly suited to the local conditions. Thus, out of the nations need, KAMCO was born in the year 1973 as a fully owned undertaking of government of Kerala.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
Research methodology means the scientific method of conducting a research. Research methodology is a science it is a method that can be used to solve the research problems. Research methodology helps in studying how research is done scientifically. Research methodology provides various steps that can be adopted by the researcher in studying research problems. Research methodology has many dimensions. The scope of research methodology wider than the research methods. Research methodology includes not only research but also consider the topic behind those methods. It is the research design which can be selected for conducting a study according to the nature and scope of the subject. It is necessary for the research to know not only research methods, techniques but also the methodology. In it the researcher study the various steps that are generally adopted by a researcher in study the research problems along with topic behind with them. It is necessary for the researcher to know not only the research methods techniques but also the methodology. Researcher not only need to know how to develop certain indices or tests, how to calculate he means, the mode, the median, on the standard deviation or ohi-squre,how to apply particular research. Techniques are relevant and which of these methods are not and what would they mean and indicate and why. Researcher also needed to understand the assumptions underline the various techniques and they needed to know the criteria. By which they can decided that certain techniques and procedures will be able to certain problems and other will not all these means that it is necessary for the researcher to design this methodology.

RESEARCH DESIGN
Research design is the arrangement of conditions for collection and analyses of the data in a manner. That aims to combine relevance to the research purpose with economy in procedure. The research design is a comprehensive master plan of the research study to be undertaken. As good research design shall ensure

that the information obtained is relevant to the problem and that has collected by objective economic procedure. These are different type of research design. The research design which the researcher choose to conduct the study is descriptive research design. DISCRIPTIVE RESEARCH DESIGN Descriptive research design is concerned with the detailed description of certain functional variables and characteristics of a problem situation. Since it is concerned with the explanation of the problem situation and variable it is called explanatory research. The major purpose for which it is used are: *To disclose in detail the characteristics of target groups *To assess the proportionate behavior of respondents within the group. *To help in precise predictions. *To determine the association of different variables.

HYPOTHESIS
A hypothesis generally means a mere assumption or supposition to be proved or disproved. But for a research for a research, hypothesis is a normal question that he intends to resolve. Hypothesis is a tentative proposition formulated for empirical testing. It is a tentative answer to a question. It is a tentative because its validity remains to be tested. A researcher conducting research has to start somewhere. This point of start is called hypothesis. Hypothesis is usually considered as the principal instrument in research. Decision makers often face situation where in they are interested in testing hypothesis on the basis of such testing. The testing of hypothesis is an important characteristic of the scientific method. A research establishes relationship among certain variables. This leads to from a certain opinion or ideas are called hypothesis. On the basis Null hypothesis is an important concept used widely in sampling theory it point out there is no difference between two populations in respect of same theory. It point out there is no difference found in the samples drown from these population is only of information collected in this connection, verification and testing are made .these fest help the researcher to conclude the validity of his hypothesis NULL HYPOTHESIS Accidental and unimportant. A null hypothesis indicates that result fount in research does not differ significantly from the results expected on a probability basis or stipulated in terms of a certain theory. Ho : Satisfaction level of dealers is high. ALTERNATIVE HYPOTHESIS

In a test of hypothesis the test in conducted either to accept or to reject the null hypothesis. When null hypothesis is rejected accepted another Nirmala College of Information Technology, Chalakudy 6

hypothesis called alternative called alternative hypothesis. Suppose the null hypothesis is that sales growth is directly correlated to expenditure on advertisement. Then the ALTERNATIVE HYPOTHESIS is that a sales growth is not directly correlated to expenditure on advertisement. The null hypothesis and alternative hypothesis together constitute the frame work for statistical testing of hypothesis. H1: Satisfaction level of dealers is low.

POPULATION
The entire aggregation of items from which samples can be drawn is known as population. It is a collection of individuals or of their values which can be numerically specified. Population can be finite or infinite. A population contain a finit number items is called finite population and a population containing infinite number of items is called infinite population. A population is a group composed of all members of the some species that line in a specific geographical area at a particular time. In this research study the researcher take the total population is infinite

DATA COLLECTION METHOD

Collection of data implies accounting and systematic recording of the information gathered in an investigation. There are two types 1, 2, Primary Data Secondary Data

PRIMARY DATA Primary data are those collected by the researcher himself far the first time for a specific purpose and thus they are original in character. In this study the data are collected directly from the persons. Therefore the datas become truthful. Primary data will be usually adequate and suitable. Primary data are in the shape of raw material to which statistical method are applied. Sources Primary data source are the source by which data are collected originally for certain purpose is called primary source of data. In this project the main source of data is questionnaire. Questionnaire is the form of consisting of size of questions with space to answer by the respondents. It is used to collect data from the respondents who are spread over the wide area.

SECONDARY DATA Secondary data are those already collected by someone else for some other purpose is utilized by the researcher for this purpose. Secondary data are usually in the shape of finished products. Secondary data may be connected from published or unpublished sources. Secondary data collection must need much for the making for security. Because it is most suitable and adequate to in connect of the research problem.

DEALERS SATISFACTION
Marketing plays an important role in the development of a society. Marketing bridges the gap between firm and society. It has built a bridge between the farms and factories, which has benefited both agriculture and industry and also society as whole. Marketing is a very much part of our norms lives, where ever we live. It is the causes of the existence of the organization. Firm cannot exist without marketing wings. The success of business is measured by its achievements in marketing profits, market share and cash flows. Dealers, they are very important in marketing the product through them product flow into the market. The gap between the producer and consumer is reduced by the middlemen. Dealers need understanding and support. They are happy to receive sales ideas from the salesmen and executives of the firm likewise, helpful and promote attention to dealer complaints also keeps the dealers prestige in their given area. VARIOUS CAMPAGINS OF DEALERS Associating the dealers in various campaigns such as service campaign, promotion campaign etc. will amend relations with the dealer. It will also add to the success of the campaign. The firm can even persuade dealers to share the expenditure on service, publicity and sales promotion, dealers co-operated service and publicity campaigns not only reduce the financial strain of the firm. The willing involment of the dealers in the campaigns does the trick. DEALER- SUPPLIER RELATIONSHIP From the theoretical perspective, this study provides a more complete understanding of dealer supplier relationship as well as contributions to theory conformation and development. The existence of sales supports by the supplier is essential to drive the relationship with other factors. The business goal is to establish and maintain relationship with the dealers for long term sales instead of maximizing short term sales. Relationship marketing helps dealers and suppliers to build, develop and keep continuous process of relationship building. Nirmala College of Information Technology, Chalakudy 15

Management Project

Supplier dealers should devote their attention to relationship satisfaction specifically in order to increase the price rather than divide the pie both suppliers and dealers look for effective relationships in order to maximize their profits, minimize their cost and ultimately lead to long term commitments and trust. The results of this research would help suppliers and dealers to understand the

important of satisfaction in establishing long term relationship and provide actionable guidance of relational factors emerged as valuable avenues for suppliers to allocates scares recourses perception of a dealer relationships. Satisfaction is important to suppliers to three reasons. First, suppliers who are partnering with highly customer oriented dealers, may be able to create greater value for end customers and thereby gain competitive advantage by maintaining satisfied relationship with the existing dealers. Second, suppliers may be able to improve their own levels of performance through trickle up effect, which means that when dealers satisfaction improves by virtual of the dependent dealer-supplier relationship; it will lead to supplier sales improvement. Finally, relationship satisfaction becomes relevant because of the concerns given to the importance of relational market base which appears to be vigorous for current business competencies, especially in the area of managing relationship between organizations. Suppliers should be aware that sales support in terms of providing showroom, layout, and inventory management, counseling, availability to participate in sales call ,after sales follow up and training programmes ,may positively impact the dealers relationship satisfaction from a practical point ,this study advocates that the suppliers should continue to increase various sales supports by providing the above sales tools and programmes. Supplier should make extensive operational efforts to motivate their dealers to increase the sales. In other words, thee suppliers can provide the sales resources and motivation support to satisfy rather than dissatisfy the dealers. Therefore, suppliers should be aware of this and prepare to improve their sales supports in order to achieve greater satisfaction in the relationship.

INTRODUCTION TO THE INDUSTRY

State of Kerala has peculiar state of affairs in its agriculture economy .Being a consumer state, it depends largely on agricultural products from the neighboring states. It has tiny and small farm lands owned by private land owners. Even those available lands are not fully utilized for cultivation, owing to economic reasons. Low productivity coupled with prohibitive costs of cultivation has virtually driven the traditional farmers out of their vocation under this scenario; mechanization of the farming is non starter proposition in the state. Barring traditional tools and tackles employed by the farmers in the cultivation, there were no motorized equipments available in the state. KAMCO was adventurous enough to venture in to this bleak scenario, and introduced it power tillers and other medium and small sized mechanical aids of cultivation. The Kerala farmers grabbed this opportunity and made use of benefits of automation in their fields, which in turn made the entire operations of the KAMCO successful. As of now, KAMCO is the one and only one industrial unit in the state, which provides machineries to the farming segment as an aid to their cultivation. Being a monopoly, KAMCO controls the Kerala market in supplies of automated farming equipments. Other competitors are yet to step into scene in the state. This industry is facing a great threat that the changing of agricultural economy in to an industry economy. World demand for agricultural machinery and equipment is forecast to increase 3.7 percent annually through 2012 to $111 billon. Gains will be paced by the accelerating mechanization of the agriculture sectors in currently large agricultural equipment market such as china and India whose farms sectors are nevertheless still significantly unmechanized and inefficient in comparison to those found in more developed markets. Moreover, rapidly rising global staple food crop prices and shortages in 2007 and early 2008 indicate a growing necessity to increase farm productivity and efficiency in developing countries. To some extent ,gains could be hindered if energy prices remain at their current high level through the forecast period and negatively impact global economic growth .

It was a really time consuming one which required lot of labor work. The cost of production was very high and the benefits are not promising. Spectacular success in the production and productivity achieved in developed countries through mechanization of agriculture, it was being agreed that India also should fall in line with these countries. Though India was backward in the use of machines for agricultural operations, yet in the past few years there has been an increase in the case of modern implements. The phase of mechanization of farming in the country was slow during1950s. Thereafter particularly since the mid 1960s with the coming of the new agricultural technology, this has increased. An associated effect of the new agricultural practices. The preparation of land, the sowing of seeds, the watering of land, the control of seeds, the use of pesticides, the quick harvesting of crops etc, are now done more scientifically than even before.

WORLD SCENARIO

The backbone of Indian economy is Agriculture. About 70% of population depends upon agricultural sector for their lively hood. Many countries are now available to produce excess food grains, is mainly because, they use high yielding variety of seeds and modern agricultural machineries with a view to increasing their productivity and then they are able to produce excess food grains in the present scenario.
