Sheffield Hallam University invites applications for its intake in January 2013 Offers Scholarship to Indian Students Introduces

more courses to its curriculum New Delhi, Nov 29, 2012: Sheffield Hallam University (SHU), one of the UKs larges t and progressive universities, best known for its innovation and excellence in providing quality education in new and emerging fields, today invites applicatio ns for postgraduate courses for its intake starting January 2013 as their second round of admissions. The admission is open for selected masters courses includi ng some new courses for Indian students like, MSc Logistics and Supply Chain and MSc Strategic Operations Management. The university has also opened its Interna tional Achievement Scholarship programme for Indian Students who would be enroll ing in 2012/2013 academic year.These scholarship programme are open for all unde rgraduate and postgraduate courses at SHU. SHU has its academic excellence and value-based education, offering 750+ courses to 35,000 students including 4,250 international students from 120 different co untries. SHU has collaborations with several Indian Universities including Vidya lankar School of Technology, Mumbai, Symbiosis University, Pune, Christ Universi ty, Bangalore, Techno India NJR, Udaipur, Bhagwant Group of Institution, Ajmer, Manipal and seeks to imbibe a global mindset in its students. According to Sudha Mary Toppo, Regional Coordinator, Sheffield Hallam University , SHU is one among very few UK universities which offers this intake in January c onsidering the fact that most universities in India declare their results late w hich deprive Indian students to pursue higher studies abroad. We are hopeful tha t our newly introduced courses and the scholarships will immensely benefit the s tudents. The last date for submission of application is December 12th 2012 and the form c an be downloaded from SHUs website www.shu.ac.uk or in person from the regional c entre in Delhi. The deadline for Scholarship applications is November 30th 2012. Brief on the newly introduced courses: MSC Logistics And Supply Chain This course provides the students with the opport unity to develop their understanding of current best practice in the theory and application of leading processes and systems in logistics, operations engineerin g and global supply chain management. It helps them in increasing their career p otential by improving their knowledge and experience in logistics and the global supply chain, technical and problem solving skills, supply chain management tec hniques, management skills and ability to take on greater responsibility. It dev elops transferable skills wanted by employers, such as problem solving, team wor king and presentation skills while increasing your self confidence and developin g an independent attitude to work and learning.
