PRESS RELEASE

CAP INTRODUSES NEW PASSENGER FACILITY FEE AND LANDING FEE, AS APPROVED BY THE GOVERNMENT, AS OF DECEMBER 1, 2012 Willemstad- As of Saturday, 1st December 2012, Curaao Airport Partners (CAP) will introduce the new Passengers Facility Fee (PFC) and landing fee. The new PFC and landing fee has recently been approved by ministerial decree. The last time such fees have been adapted was in 2006. The increase will partially be allocated to government entities to f.e. strengthen the organizations and the other part of the increase will be used by CAP to finance improvements to the airport as has been agreed with the government. CAP concurs with the government in introducing an interim period of three months for passengers who have already paid the PFC when they bought their tickets prior to December 1st. The new PFC as per December 1st will be as follow: PFC for passengers traveling to Bonaire: US $10,--; PFC for passengers traveling to Aruba and Sint Maarten: US $20,--; PFC for passengers traveling to all other destinations: US $39,--; Transfer: US $5,-The new tariff for the landing fee per ton of maxium take of weight (MTOW) will become US$6,- as per December 1st, 2012. The Bureau for Telecommunication and Post (BTPU), as the independent advisor to the government, subjected both the PFC as the landing fee to a thorough scrutiny and concluded that the existing PFC and landing fee do not cover the cost of operating the airport. Furthermore, the relevant operating cost of the government entities involved in aviation needed to be considered in the new tariffs. Approximately 50% of the additional fund generated will go to these entities. CAP will use the additional funds generated with this adaptation of the PFC and landing fee to invest in improvements to the airport. Willemstad, November 29, 2012
