Students learn to differentiate TCM patterns for disorders of the locomotor system including bones, muscles, joints and all related tissues. Acupuncture point combinations for each pattern diagnosis are presented and discussed. Neuroscience 1 (IAM/TCM)
An in-depth examination of the nervous system. (24 hrs 1 unit) Pre-requisite: Anatomy/Physiology 4 Mondays 10:30am 12:30pm January 7 to March 18
Nutrition 1 (NHSc/RMT/SPA)
An overview of both the digestive process and individual essential nutrients (vitamins, minerals, amino acids). (24 hrs - 1 unit) No pre-requisite Mondays 1:15 3:15pm January 7 to March 18

In this course, students learn to read, pronounce and understand Pin Yin & Chinese characters for acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine purposes. (24 hrs - 1 unit) No pre-requisite Mondays 6:00 8:00pm January 7 to March 18

Tuina 1 (TCM)
Students evolve a basic understanding of Tuina techniques. The use of Tuina to treat common pain-related ailments is also presented and discussed. (24 hrs- 1 unit) Pre-requisite: TCM Diagnosis (or in progress) Tuesdays 1:15 5:15pm January 8 to February 5
Tuina 2 (TCM)
Students learn to complete a full-body treatment, facial massage and self-massage using Tuina. It's principles as a TCM treatment modality are also presented and discussed. (24 hrs 1 unit) Pre-requisite: Tuina 1 Tuesdays 1:15 5:15pm February 12 to March 19

Reflexology 1 (NHSc/SPA)
Learn the principles, theory & practice of Reflexology. Learn zones of the foot & specific reflexes for the major organs & glands. Hands-on experience. This program is facilitated by the founder of the Reflexology Association of Canada. (24 hrs - 1 unit) No pre-requisite Tuesdays 6:00 10:00pm January 8 to February 5
Reflexology 2 (NHSc/SPA)
Review and learn new techniques with new connections. Study of body systems, glands, organs and their reflex points. Hand reflexology, anatomy of the feet and hands, foot baths. The Italian method of treatment. The professional aspects of operating a clinic. (24 hrs - 1 unit) Pre-requisite: Reflexology 1 Tuesdays 6:00 10:00pm February 12 to March 19
Acupressure 1 (NHSc/SPA)
An introduction to acupressure techniques and benefits. The student will learn hand positions and movements, pressure and timing. The Oriental concepts of Yin/Yang and Chi will be presented.
