High above the Earth, in what you call
outer space, sits a group of stars known
as The Great Bear Constellation. But The
Great Bear Constellation is far more than
just a group of stars.

Throughout the Universe it is known as

the home of the The Great BearTM—one of
the wisest forces in all Creation.

It is the wisdom and power of The Great

Bear that keeps all the celestial bodies—
suns, moons, stars, planets, comets, and
galaxies—rotating harmoniously in space.

In fact, I once saw The Great BearTM hold

your entire solar system in one hand.

Earth, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn,

Uranus, Venus, Neptune, and Pluto—all
revolving around your Sun in his huge
palm.

3
Make no mistake--The Great Bear can
assume huge proportions! Far bigger
than even the Constellation in which he
lives.

Why, looking inside his belly alone, one

sees The Great Bear Constellation itself.

And when The Great Bear stands erect—

his legs look like giant tree trunks, his
arms like huge branches.

Atop all this sits a face bearing a

reflection as peaceful as a still lake. For,
as huge as he may be and for all the
responsibility he has, The Great Bear is
totally peaceful within himself.

Since the beginning of time, he has

watched all the activities on Earth with
keen, loving eyes. Eyes that have seen
your world change over and over again.

4
Once it was ruled by giant dinosaurs that
roamed her forest-covered surface and
soared her clear blue skies.

Now, millions of years later, people,

living under an endless variety of
conditions and walking on surfaces of
concrete, dominate the Earth, while
skyscrapers over one hundred stories tall
leap up into heavens criss-crossed by
supersonic jets.

The Great Bear has watched humanity

multiply and multiply, constantly
creating new things to make lives easier
and more enjoyable. Yes, The Great Bear
has seen it all!

From The Great Bear’s perspective, your

Earth looks like a giant, round movie
screen. That’s right! A movie screen—
showing the movies of your very own
lives. Movies in which you, children of
Earth, are the writers, producers,
directors, actors, and actresses.

5
And when The Great Bear watches the
movies you create he wonders. He
wonders why you create scenes with
anything other than music, laughter, and
love.

Anyway, that’s where I come in—Bliss

Beary Bear. I have been watching and
wondering about your activities on Planet
Earth right along with The Great Bear.

Under his thoughtful tutoring, I have

been learning many secrets about your
world and worlds normally invisible to
your eyes—secrets The Great Bear has
assigned me to share with you.

But, before I can share them, someone

from your Planet has to ask for help. You
see, The Great Bear and I cannot
interfere with your Earthly activities. We
can only act as advisors and share what
we know when called upon.

One day, not too long ago, the first such

call came. In terms of your Earth days,
all the excitement took place on a
Monday.

6
I woke up in my usual manner that day—
very slowly, yawning and stretching. For
about 5 of your earth minutes, I simply
stayed in bed being thankful for all the
beauty in my life.

Filled with these marvelous feelings, I

got out of bed, took a couple of deep
breaths, stretched, and ate a very light,
what you would call, breakfast.

Then, I was off to school for a day filled

with lessons on love, compassion, and
miracles.

That evening after dinner, while

reflecting on the day’s activities and
observing a shower of shooting stars
blazing through space, The Great Bear
called me into his cave.

“Bliss Beary,” he said, “a very special

wish from some children on Earth is
about to reach us. Since Earth is your
assignment, I want you to help them.”

“Who are they, Great Bear?” I anxiously

questioned.

7
“They are children whose parents are
members of what the people of Earth call
The United Nations.” He answered.

“What is The United Nations?” I asked,

not having heard of it in any of my
lessons.

“It’s an organization of people from most

of the countries on Earth dedicated to
maintaining peace and harmony
throughout the world.” He responded.

“Well, if you ask me,” I offered, “they

aren’t doing a very good job. Why, there
are people fighting down there! People
living in the streets! People starving!
People arguing with one another over the
smallest STUFF!”

“I know!” agreed The Great Bear. “Not to

worry though. The children of Earth are
starting to notice these things you
mention and, they are starting to do
something about it. Look down there,
right now! You can see the children
forming their wish.”

8
Seated in a circle under the afternoon
sun in front of The United Nations
Building in New York City were ten
children from all around the world.

There was Geraldine from The United

States, Haru from Japan, Ming-Lee from
China, Malti from India, Mary from
England, Nikita from Russia, Rosalinda
from Mexico, Anwar from Egypt, Golda
from Israel, and young Kenya from
Africa. They had gathered at Geraldine’s
request.

Geraldine, her eyes puffy and red from a

night filled with tears, started the
meeting saying, “Thanks for coming on
such short notice. My . . .”

“It sure was short!” Ming-Lee broke in. “I

was in the midst of my favorite TV
show!”

“Yeah,” added Haru, “I was too!”

9
“Cool it, you two!” Geraldine cried out,
barely able to contain the tears that were
building in her heart.

But before she could continue, Nikita’s

voice barked in an abrupt fashion,
“That’s about all the time you have. I
was in the middle of a new mystery
adventure!”

“You’re a mystery to me!” needled Mary,

as here hands held hips that were
firming up for an argument. “You always
have . . .”

“Stop it!” Geraldine demanded, as tears

streamed from her eyes. “I need your
help, not more bickering and
complaining. You sound like our parents.
And . . . and . . . my parents had a
terrible argument last night.”

“They even threatened each other with

divorce!”

“Sorry.” Mary apologized. “We had no

idea.”

10
“How can we help?” Malti offered.

As her tears dwindled, Geraldine

continued. “My parents sounded like the
6:00 p.m. news cast last night—yelling
and yelling. I couldn’t stand it! I threw
myself on my bed and covered my head
with my pillow, trying to drown out their
bitter words. I remember crying and
crying—wondering where all their love
went—how it could disappear.”

“Love never lasts.” Nikita interrupted.

“That’s not what they said in my dream

last night!” Geraldine countered.

“Whose ‘they’? Dreams are dreams—

nothing more, nothing less.” Anwar
quipped, totally ignoring Geraldine’s
pain.

“That’s not what my father says!” Kenya

defended. “He says ‘progress is a
neverending dream come true.’ If you
think about it, he’s right! Lots of things
we use today started as dreams. Just
look at light bulbs!”

11
“That’s right!” Golda agreed, her voice
bolstered by the weight she carried on
her stocky frame. “Freedom was once a
dream to the people of my nation. Now
it’s a reality.”

“Our country too!” Malti confirmed, her

jet-black hair framing a brilliant olive
complexion.

“All right, already,” Anwar reluctantly

conceded, “let’s hear this dream.”

“I remember crying and crying into my

pillow,” Geraldine began, “when suddenly
I felt a very comforting hand on my
shoulder. As I turned over, there was
Santa Claus standing over my bed.”

He said, ‘I’m sorry your parents were

arguing. I too wonder how love
disappears. All the love in the world at
Christmas time seems to disappear
before the decorations are even taken
down.’”

12
“Do you expect us to swallow that Santa
Claus bit?” challenged Anwar in total
disbelief.

“Callate!” Rosalinda demanded in her

native tongue.

“Yeah, Anwar!” Ming-Lee added. “There’s

been enough sadness and challenges.
Let’s hear this out. Love is important
and so are Geraldine’s feelings!”

“Thanks you two.” Geraldine offered.

As she continued, a hush fell over the

children.

“When Santa finished, The Easter Bunny

and St. Valentine suddenly appeared.
They too wondered why all the love that
filled the air on their special holidays
disappeared the next day.”

“Then, before my very eyes, a beautiful

unicorn with a braided mane of purple
and yellow wildflowers floated out of a
mist.”

13
“Looking at Santa, The Easter Bunny,
and St. Valentine, she said, ‘At least you
have holidays where you can share your
love with the people of Earth. Unicorns
like me have to stay hidden deep in the
darkest forests of the world. If we tried
to share our magic, they’d put us in the
circus.’”

“That’s for sure!” Kenya confirmed.

“Whatever grownups don’t seem to
understand, they try to cage or keep
secret! What else happened in your
dream?”

“A beautiful fairy flew out of a flower on

the unicorn’s mane saying, ‘We too have
gone into hiding—but only from most
adults. The love flowing from the
innocence of children draws us near
to them and many children see and
play with us. All the trouble starts when
they tell their parents about us. That’s
when they begin believing their parents,
who say we don’t exist, instead of
believing their own eyes.’”

14
“Now I’ve heard everything!” Anwar
chuckled sarcastically.

“Wait a minute, Anwar, I’ve seen fairies

in my garden in India.” Malti confirmed.
“Go on Geraldine. What else was in your
dream?”

“An angel.” Geraldine replied softly.

“She said, ‘it’s too bad people only call

for help when something bad happens.
We’re hovering around them day and
night, ready to assist in every way. If
only people would open their hearts to
love, they could work with us. Our jobs
are to help people all the time.’”

“Love sure does seem to come and go.”

Nikita agreed. “Did any of them have a
solution?”

“That’s why I called you.” Geraldine

replied. “They all looked at me in the
dream and said, ‘the children of Earth
must discover a new land.”

15
“A land where love flows every day,
among all people.”

“A land where nobody is homeless or

hungry.”

“A land where there is no arguing and

fighting.”

“A land where fairies, angels, and

unicorns fell safe to appear and help
their human friends.’”

“But how in the world can we find such a

land?” Rosalinda asked, overwhelmed
with the task. “We’re just kids! All the
land on Earth is pretty much owned by
someone! And we don’t have any
spaceships to go looking for a new land.”

“I told them that!” Geraldine exclaimed.

“But they insisted we ‘have the power’.”

“Power?” questioned Ming-Lee.

16
“Yeah Power! The Power to discover a
new land—a land of love!” Geraldine
emphasized.

Haru suddenly leaped in the air. “I got

it!”

“Got what?” giggled Rosalinda. “Ants in

your pants?”

“No, not ants!” Haru laughed. “The

ANTS-ER!”

“Well, let’s hear it.” Geraldine insisted.

“It’s almost dark.”

“Good,” Haru said with a teasing grin,

“the darker the better.”

“What do you mean, the darker the

better?” Mary asked.

“When it gets dark you can see stars.”

Haru replied.

“Stars?” Mary repeated. “What do stars

have to do with this?”

17
“Starlight, starbright, first . . .”

Before Haru could finish, Kenya chimed

in, “star I see tonight, wish I may, wish I
might, have the wish I wish tonight!”

“You got it!” Haru whooped.

“You think it’ll work?” asked Rosalinda.

“It’s got to!” Golda proclaimed. “It’s

time we lived in love.”

“Then lets get it together.” Geraldine

urged. “Do we all agree that we wish to
find a new land? We’ve got to be united
for this to work.”

When everyone had nodded in

agreement, Geraldine continued, “OK
then, we’ll meet back here at midnight.”

When midnight came, the sky was ablaze

with stars. Starshine was streaming
everywhere. Every single star sparkled
brilliantly through the moonless night,
like a newly polished diamond set on a
background of black velvet.

18
The timing was perfect for wishing on a
star.

The children formed a circle with their

foreheads touching in the center. No
bickering, no challenges—they had a
purpose.

As they put their arms around one

another’s backs, Geraldine released their
wish to the heavens.

“Starlight, starbright, first star we see

tonight, wish we may, wish we might,
have the wish we wish tonight. We wish
to discover a new land—A LAND OF
LOVE!”

Then, rising from their hearts, passing

through their foreheads and up through
the center of the circle, their wish
formed a beam of golden-white light that
rocketed skyward. It zipped straight
toward The Great Bear Constellation at
an incredible speed.

19
And, when it arrived, what sight! Every
star in The Great Bear Constellation lit
up like a thousand suns had burst!

The children were literally star struck.

With eyes round as full moons and
mouths hanging open in wonder, they
gazed upward at the heavenly spectacle.

Deep within they knew their wish had

found a home. Their pounding hearts felt
like they would crack right through their
chests.

After a few of your Earth seconds, the

stars of The Great Bear Constellation
returned to their normal brightness.

As they were dimming, my mysterious

Blue Pearl Star ShipTM formed around me.

When the last star had pulled the shade

over her brightness, I blasted off, setting
course for The United Nations, New York
City, U.S.A.

20
From Earth, the Blue Pearl Star ShipTM
must have looked like a thousand falling
stars. Travelling at a speed faster than a
flash of lightning, she zipped through
space, leaving a trail of starshine strung
in her wake.

Before the children even had time to look

at one another, there I was.

As my Blue Pearl Star Ship disappeared

and I started toward them, questions flew
at me from all directions.

“Who . . . Who are you?”

“What kind of far-out spaceship was

that?”

“Where’d it go?”

“Are you from that new land we wished

to discover?”

“Whoa. Whoa. Slow down, friends.” I

said. “My name is Bliss Beary Bear.”

“What’s a Bliss BearyTM?” Nikita asked.

21
“A Bliss Beary is the sweetest, most
delicious fruit in the Universe.” I replied
with a big smile. “Eating just one makes
your mind very sharp, your body tingle
from head to toe, and your heart bubble
with bliss.”

“What’s bliss?” Nikita continued.

“Bliss is a deliciously incredible feeling.”

I explained. “It’s a wonderful feeling
beyond happiness. A feeling beyond Joy.
It’s even a feeling beyond feeling!”

“Bliss is so incredible that it takes 100

feelings of happiness to equal 1 feeling of
joy and it takes 100 feelings of joy to
equal 1 feeling of bliss. Would you like
to . . .”

Before I could finish asking the children

if they wanted to feel bliss themselves,
Ming-Lee jumped in with, “Why do you
wear that heart around your neck?”

“Yeah,” added Golda, “our hearts are

inside our bodies.”

22
“Oh, I have a heart inside my body too.” I
replied. “It pumps my blood to keep me
alive. But this heart, on the outside, is
the heart I love with. Love for everyone
to see and share in.”

“It’s also quite magical.” I whispered.

“You can look inside this heart and see
all sorts of things.”

“Like what?” Haru whispered back,

moving in closer.

“You’ll find out in just a few moments.” I

comforted.

“As to your questions about the kind of

spaceship I travel in and where it went: I
travel in a Blue Pearl Space Ship that
moves so fast you barely see it. Usually
you just see the trail of starshine it
leaves.”

“Where’d it go?” Anwar asked, still trying

to figure it out.

“Inside me.” I responded.

23
“Inside you?” Anwar remarked. “How
does something bigger than you get
inside you?”

“I really don’t know! There are secrets to

some mysteries The Great Bear who sent
me here has not revealed. I only know
that when I need to get somewhere in the
Universe in a hurry, this brilliant Blue
Pearl Star Ship suddenly appears from
inside me.”

“First,” I began, “there’s a red glow, like

a ball of fire, that swirls around inside
my belly.”

“It swirls and swirls upward, getting

lighter and lighter in color, until it turns
into a brilliant white star at my heart. A
white star that shoots straight up toward
my head, getting darker as it travels
upward.”

”Then, when it arrives at the space here

between my eyebrows, it becomes a black
oval.”

24
“Then, in a flash of brilliance, the Blue
Pearl Star Ship bursts out of the oval,
surrounding my whole body. And, I’m
off!”

“When I get to where I’m going, it

disappears back inside of me. The Great
Bear once told me that constant
thoughts of love would one day reveal the
mystery of the Blue Pearl.”

“FREAKY FAR-OUT!” Geraldine gasped.

“I wish I had a Blue Pearl Star Ship inside
me!”

“According to The Great Bear, you do!” I

responded. “In fact, everyone has a Blue
Pearl Star Ship inside them. It just takes
a whole lot of love and a quiet mind to
find it.”

“Now that is ‘FAR-OUT’.” Malti agreed.

“But who’s this Great Bear?”

“Oh, my dear friends, he is one of the

wisest teachers in all the Universe”. I
avowed. “And His home is The Great
Bear Constellation.”

25
“Was it The Great Bear Constellation that
set the sky afire?” Nikita asked.

“No,” I answered, “it was the love behind

your wish that set the stars ablaze.”

“Then, is The Great Bear Constellation

the new land of love we wished for?”
Rosalinda asked.

“No, it’s simply my home and the home

of The Great Bear.” I answered.

“But you ARE here to help us discover a

new land of love, aren’t you?” Malti
quizzed.

“Oh, indeed I am here to help you.” I

assured everyone.

“Then, where’s this new land, Bliss

Beary?” Geraldine bubbled with
anticipation.

“Geraldine,” I replied, “the new land you

seek is already here. And, you already
know where it is!”

26
“Oh boy, here we go again.” Geraldine
complained. “That’s the same line Santa
and the others dropped on me in my
dream.”

“And from your dream, came your wish.

And from your wish, came I!” I poetically
pronounced.

“Enough of this double talk.” Golda

blurted. “How do we find the new land?”

Suddenly, my Magical HeartTM began to

pulsate and glow, framed by a silver-
white mist.

The children drew close as if drawn my a

magic spell.

With their eyes glued to my heart, it

began to open. Rays of the most
brilliant, almost blinding, silver-white
light poured out.

The children lost all sense of time as

they stood frozen like statues.

27
Minutes seemed like hours as their eyes
drank the light of my heart—light that
filtered through every cell of their
bodies, sending warm tingling sensations
from head to toe.

Then, as suddenly as it had opened, it

began to close. The children stood before
me mesmerized in total wonderment.
Their eyes, gleaming! Their faces,
beaming! Their entire bodies, radiant!

Mary, barely able to put two

words together, eventually stammered,
“What . . . What was that? That . . .
That light? What happened to . . . me?
I . . . I was so quiet inside but so . . .
so alive with feeling!”

The other children simply nodded in

agreement, their eyes searching mine for
answers.

“That light, that feeling, children is Bliss.

It’s love—wonderFULL love! The love
you along with everyone else on Earth is
seeking. And, it’s right inside you!” I
replied.

28
“Inside us?” Mary questioned. “It came
from your heart.”

“No, Mary.” I reassured. “It was the love

in your own hearts that drew the love,
the light, from my heart. My love only
fueled the fire of love inside you—showed
you who you really are!”

“But how can that be the new land?”

Anwar asked.

“When love is in full bloom within each

and every human being—as it just was for
you—a new land will automatically be
created right here on Earth! You won’t
have to look anywhere else!” I replied.

“That’s a lot of love, Bliss Beary.”

Rosalinda sighed. “This is a big Planet.
Where do we start?”

“Start with your Self. Love your own

Self.” I replied.

“Then, right in your own homes, love

your parents, your brothers, and your
sisters.”

29
“Right in your own neighborhoods, love
your friends and neighbors.”

“Slowly but surely, in the same way, love

will spread—throughout the world. I
promise! It’s like the most contagious,
infectious disease in all the Universe!”

“Disease?” Kenya questioned.

“Yes, just like an infectious disease gets

passed from person to person, love gets
passed from heart to heart—consuming
everything in its path—hunger, anger,
greed . . . ! Everything—leaving only
love!” I explained.

“Leaving only an awareness of oneness

among all people. And that awareness is
the destiny of your Planet Earth—
everyone will eventually feel the light,
the love, you did.”

“But Bliss Beary”, Geraldine broke in,

“sometimes I forget all about love—like
when my parents argue or my little sister
bugs me. What if that happens?”

30
“Oh, that probably will happen. But it’s
OK.” I comforted. “It’s like learning to
play a musical instrument.”

“Every once in a while, you hit some sour

notes. But they become fewer and fewer
as you practice more and more.”

“Love develops the same way. Just keep

practicing.”

“And most of all, love those things that

bother you! Eventually, all your sour
notes will magically disappear.”

“Will you stay around to help us practice,

to help us remember?” Malti pleaded.

“I’m sorry, I must return to The Great

Bear Constellation.” I replied.

“But I will tell lots of stories to help you

and the other children of Earth
understand love and life on your Planet.”

31
“They’ll be called Fairy Tales Of The
Heart—practical, everyday stuff—things I
learn from The Great Bear and my future
trips to Earth.”

“Future trips? . . . Like Wow! Then you

will be back!” shouted Geraldine.

“I’m just a Blue Pearl away—forever

bonded to the love that radiantes from
your hearts.” I affirmed, as the Blue Pearl
Star Ship formed around me.

The children jumped with delight. Their

cheers rose skyward, straight to The
Great Bear’s Heart.

Once again, The Great Bear Constellation

blazed brighter than all the other stars in
the sky.

Then, a very, very rare and mysterious

phenomenon occured—a magical gift
from The Great Bear.

32
Arched over The United Nations Building,
a gorgeous nighttime rainbow showered
droplets of violet, indigo, blue, green,
red, orange, and yellow.

And that, children, is how I, Bliss Beary

Bear, first came to Earth.

But my presence here is really not that

important.

The important thing for you to remember

is that love is contagious.

Catch love!

Spread love!

Be love!

For that is what you are—LOVE!

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!

All you are is LOVE!
