Cooperative Group Assignment Guidelines

Requirements:
You have been pre-assigned to a group to create an awesome and creative multimedia presentation to your classmates and me! You will create a group multimedia presentation about the life of Harriet Tubman, her contributions to end slavery, or about The Underground Railroad and the people who assisted to ensure it was successful. You must use at least one form of multimedia: You can use Prezi, Popplet, MS PowerPoint, or SlideRocket. If you prefer, you may create a script and create a 5 minute video please ensure I review it first. You must include relevant images and facts and cite where you found them in the presentation. Have fun with this project but ensure it is completed in a professional manner. Work together effectively and use your time wisely. You will have 1 week to plan and create your projects. You will present them to the class next week. You and your peers will grade each others presentation utilizing the rubric that I will use to grade your projects. (See below) Each group will have a leadership positions that will be pre-assigned by your teacher and are non-negotiable.

Group Leadership Positions:
Creative Director (One person)- The creative director is the person who leads by example and who listens to the creative needs of the group. He or she must focus on the groups creative focus to ensure the project is successful. Graphic Designer (One-Two people)- The graphic designer is the person who designs the imagery or who locates images and pulls the project together to ensure the creative process is brought to life. Researcher (Two people)- The researchers job is to find the information that is relevant including locating sources and ensuring they are cited in the presentation. This person must focus on finding information that approved by the instructor. Example: When using Google ensures that, you remember to use the advanced search and use the EDU domain.) Presenter (one person or each person in the group may speak equally) Public speaking is vital for this position but if you are not accustomed to public speaking please ensure that you receive a great pep talk from me your teacher.
