Thesis / Dissertation A dissertation or thesis is a document submitted in support of candidature for a n academic degree or professional qualification presenting the author's research and findings.[ In some countries/universities, the word "thesis" or a cognate i s used as part of a bachelor's or master's course, while "dissertation" is norma lly applied to a doctorate, while in others, the reverse is true. With regards to thesis topic, the title should indicate the topic particular fie ld represented. The Thesis topics must be specific in scope. The choice will be determined by ones purpose. Introduction (Background and Need) This portion explains the macro description of the study and cites situations st atements of authorities to explain why the study is being conducted. The researc her points out that the study is about a special problem different from other pr oblems because the interplay of identified variables may cause a process to be d iscussed . Its is in the introduction that the reader is orientated with the problem that t he researcher seeks to solve and it is there that the reader is made to underst and why the problem is important. THEORITICAL FRAMEWORK This portion refers to the researchers concept or ideas about his study. There sh ould be a conceptual or research paradigm consisting Inputs, process, and outpu

ts of the study. The paradigm must be explained by the researcher: Input Process Output

The conceptual framework consists of the investigators own position on a problem after his/her exposure to various theories that the have bearing on the problem. It is the researchers new model which has its roots in the previous models the r esearcher has read. STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM The statement of the problem is what the researcher aims to discover or establis h. This. The problem stamen sets the direction of inquiry, its verbalization of the question which the study proposes to answer. This divides into major/main p roblem and minor /sub problems and may be stated declaratively or interrogativel y The major problem is the whole focus , which is reflected in the title of the study. The minor problems are the sub-division or the breakdown of the main variable i nto its components.
