Product & Application Information

What is the flexible stone? It is a natural stone veneer material, which is manufactured with thin veneers (from 2 mm to 3 mm thick) of slate or sandstone (metamorphic rocks) so, each sheet will be different as every piece consists of a thin layer of real stone and no two stones are exactly the same. Natural stone has a thin layer of fiberglass or polyester resin composite stuck at the other side which gives the sheets their flexibility and strength while keeping the weight to a minimum of 1.5 kg/ m2. Flexible stone is also water proof once installed and effectively creates a tough moisture barrier, so it can be used in most wet locations such as showers. These materials hold up to most indoor/outdoor environments as well as extreme low freezing conditions. It is ideal for renovations thanks to its easy installation. This means you neither have to remove the existing tiles while remodelling, no have any debris to throw away. Architectural uses include building facades, interior walls, door skins, flooring, columns, shower walls and much more. It is an attractive addition to many decors due to the products of easy installation and the ability to apply the product in areas where stone or masonry would not have been considered previously . Although flexible stone is available in 14 colours in matt or glossfinish with a standard measure of 62 x 122 cm, some colours can reach 244 x 122 cm, facilitating this way its use in the manufacture of furniture.
