Hosted by the Rotary Club of Oswego, Oswego Family YMCA Fox River Academy of Music and Art & the Oswego Senior Center Saturday, December 8th - 8:00 - 11:00 a.m. Oswego YMCA, 160 E. Washington Street, Oswego This family event includes games, crafts, pictures with Santa, and a pancake and sausage breakfast! The doors open at 8:00 a.m. and breakfast will be served until 11:00 a.m. The cost is $5 per person (2 and under are free). Buy your tickets at any Oswegoland Park District offices, the Oswego Family YMCA, The Garden Faire or at the Oswego Village Hall. Well be collecting coats, hats, mittens and gloves for the Rotary Club of Oswegos annual Coats for Kendall project.

5:00 p.m. - Corner of Main and Jackson Street (near the old Oswego Fire Station #1) Tree lighting ceremony with Village President Brian LeClercq and Village Trustees 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. - Main Street Taste of Oswego Food Vendors (see page 3 for a list of vendors) Kaptain Karaoke Holiday Music Traughber Junior High Choir will carol along Main Street. Dr. Seuss characters strolling on Main St. - stop them for a photo! Toyland Train rides - train stops on Main St. at Jefferson and at Van Buren sponsored by the Oswego Chamber of Commerce Sledding Hill (giant slide) - Main St. at Jackson Brownie Troop 4973 will host a bake sale to raise funds for Christmas presents for children in the area. Silent Auction/Raffle hosted by the Oswego Chamber at the Raven Lodge. Net proceeds go to the Optimist Needy Family Christmas Project. Also, purchase tickets for Santas Snowball Raffle; chances are a $1 each and prizes will be awarded in the amount of $1000, $500 and $250. Ice Carving Demonstration by Chicago Ice Works (6-9 p.m.) Be sure to watch for everyone's favorite yellow sponge! You might spot him mingling in the crowd, handing out candy canes and collecting new toys for Toys for Tots. Or drop off your toys at the Celebrate Differences booth & be entered to win our giveaway, a fabulous staycation! See Frosty come to life as a fabulous flower creation at Floral Expressions and Gifts Visit The Prom Shoppe to see the live fashion show in their front window (5-8 p.m.) The Marmalade Tree is offering a Toulouse Shopping cart filled with gifts & decorated with greenery & ribbons for a Christmas raffle to benefit the Kendall County Food Pantry. It has a value of over $250 and the chances are $5 each or 3 for $10--available at the store. Operation Christmas Cards at Second Born Consignment - Stop by and fill out a Christmas card for a soldier stationed over seas and through out the US, this is available all 3 days of the Christmas walk - Friday until 8 p.m., Sat from 10 - 4, and Sunday from 10-1 Studio 60 on Main will partner with Fox River Academy of Music & Art for "MERRY MUGS". Kids come and decorate a free ceramic mug and listen to live music. Tillers Nursing and Rehabilitation Center will be handing out seasonal chapsticks Oswego Outlaws 14u Roth will be selling popcorn balls, candy canes, and baked sweets. Oswego Outlaws 14u Beebe will be selling baked goods and water bottles. Oswego Outlaws 16uMH will be selling raffle tickets for 2 Chicago Bulls tickets (3rd row) at $10 per raffle ticket, baked goods, and candy. They are fundraising for the 2013 World Series fund. Visit the Chick-fil-A tent to meet the Cow and participate in the Spinning Wheel and Cow Toss game for prizes. Visit Impact Community Churchs booth to make cards for our troops. Visit Big Life Community Churchs booth for face painting, temporary tattoos and for sale baked treats and chocolate covered bacon. Stop by to see the OHS Choir Boosters and pick up your luminaries from their luminaria fundraiser. Visit The Man Stores Booth - We Help Send The American Worker Home Safely"! Pick up your $20.00 Poker Chip to use in store toward in stock Safety, Work-wear or Boots! Stop by to see to the Beery Heating and Cooling booth and learn more about their business. Oswego Public Library Stop in to enjoy a variety of local musicians performing festive favorites for all ages from 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. - Garden Faire A Visit with Santa at the Garden Faire, please bring your cameras to capture that special moment! Old Fire Station #1 Womens Civic Club Homemade Cookie Sale, Christmas Basket and Game Tower Raffle & hats, gloves & mitten collection KinderCare Learning Center will be making ornaments and will host a raffle for a Polar Express Family Night Gift Basket. VIP Service Dog Foundation will have face painting, selling dog products, and small demonstrations Sing some Christmas Carols with the Wheatland Salem Church Choir and Worship Team, do a fun children craft, and sign up to win a filled Christmas stocking. Come inside and warm up in the Old Firehouse and experience all the fun and festivities. Washington Street Marshmallow roasting, fish fry (4:30-7:30 p.m.), hot chocolate & DJ from 8 p.m. - 1 a.m. at the Oswego American Legion The Church of the Good Shepherd will be hosting a community Chili Supper with hot dogs, desserts and beverages from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Visit the display of over 20 Nativity Sets from all over the world in their sanctuary. Vendors will also be available crafts & ideas for gift giving. Open House at Your Place Realty, Inc. from 5-7 PM, enter to win a holiday basket with gifts and prizes to help support Oswego 308 Cares! Light snacks, cookies, wine and cider will be served to help to make you "merry and bright!" Hudson Crossing Park Belgian Draft Horse Hay Rides - sponsored by Castle Bank Little White School Museum Crafts, treats and music compliments of the Oswegoland Park District 7:00 p.m. - Downtown Illuminated, Silent Fire Truck Parade - Parade Route: Line-up at District 308 Center, to Jackson St., to Monroe St., to Jefferson St., through the 5 corners to Main St., to Van Buren St., return to District 308.

Tickets may be purchased in advance at the Oswego Village Hall or before each performance. 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. - Oswego Village Hall (100 Parkers Mill) Village of Oswego Holiday House Walk - tour four beautifully decorated houses throughout Oswego. The day begins at the Oswego Village Hall for a light supper catered by Village Grind and a bused tour of the homes. Tickets are $25 each; proceeds benefit the Kendall County

This year, the Cookie Walk tins will be available at The Marmalade Tree, Floral Expressions and Gifts, Village Grind and Second Born Consignment for $6.95 each. A portion of the proceeds from the tin sales will go to the Kendall County Food Pantry. Guests who purchase this years Cookie Walk tin can visit participating downtown merchants on Saturday, December 8th from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. to fill their holiday tins with freshly baked cookies. Crooks try to steal Santa's sleigh on Christmas Eve. Can Santa stop them in time to save Christmas? Will Tilly the Elf and Rudolph help him outwit the Dastardly Duo? Come help them and enjoy the play with Christmas music and Holiday Treats. 4th Annual Jingle Bell Jog 5K Fun Run


Hosted by the Oswego Family YMCA Sunday, December 9th 9:00 a.m. (Arrive at the Oswego YMCA at 8:30 a.m.)

Dress-up in holiday attire and join the Oswego Family YMCA for some festive, family fun! Reindeer ears, blinking lights and Santa hats are encouraged! Bells will be handed out to participants, while supplies last. FEE: FREE; T-shirt optional (long sleeved) $10 per person REGISTRATION: Participants must register by November 26 to receive a race T-shirt. T-shirts will be distributed the morning of the race. We will do our best to honor size requests. Run/Walk will occur rain, snow or shine. Not a timed or awards event. Return completed registration form with check or money order payable to the Oswego Family YMCA, 160 E. Washington St., Oswego.
