The latest round of party-hopping in the country has

truly revealed to all that our politicians are only capable of nurturing
dirty and messy politics in Malaysia.

This sad situation is very disappointing to the people who only want a
clean government staffed by clean politicians.

Politics is still viewed as a sort of business venture in this country

mainly due to longstanding corruption, bribery and money politics being
allowed to seep deep into the various levels of many of the political
parties in the country.

Young up-and-coming politicians plus the older ones are all so fully
susceptible to the temptations of highly desirable cash mountains,
lucrative posts and material rewards (including sexual gratification)
and titles, licences and permits.

Such practices still rule the country despite over fifty years of self-
government. Bad and corrupt politicians have spawned equally bad and
corrupt civil servants.

Malaysia still cannot extricate itself from this messy and sick state
of affairs mainly because the ruling BN cannot shake off its hunger
to hold onto power whether through fair or foul means.

The news that an important BN politician offered RM50 million to entice

an opposition politician to jump ship is most alarming. It is terrible.

Can politicians in this country be bought or sold like so many cattle ?

Such immoral and unethical means to maintain one's continuing grip on

power in the country is very disappointing to the voters who are now
feeling that they have been betrayed.

Malaysia's leaders must accept that the only way forward is to accept
the idea of a 2-party system for the country. One party, (BN), cannot
be allowed to rule the country forever. Otherwise we will never be
able to exorcise the evil that exists within the political system of
this nation.

Another cause for the party-hopping practice being so prevalent is the

fondness of the BN top leadership to mount whispering campaigns in the
pro-government mass media against the opposition.

Demonising the opposition is a practice that is akin to a boxer wanting

to always hit his opponent below the waist. It is illegal and invites
sanctions. Demonising the opposition invariably involves spreading
lies and unfounded claims about them, and with the ruling BN tightly
controlling the mass media, lies repeated often enough become accepted
as truth. This is very disgusting but BN politicians are proud of it.

Politics in Malaysia is still at a very immature stage, despite many

government boasts about "democracy being well and alive in Malaysia".

The BN politicians are still as untrustworthy as ever, even though the

Dr M is no longer in government. The BN politicians are always cared
for and protected, even when they have done something wrong.
It seems that for Malaysia to truly become a politically mature nation,
the voters have to do the job themselves. We cannot trust the ruling
class, not even in the slightest manner.

The voters in Malaysia must now be aware that only they alone can do the
job of cleaning up the sick and dirty mess. They must push forward the
idea of the 2-party system for the country. We cannot leave it to the
politicians. Let the politicians in Malaysia continue to caress their
thick wads of banknotes with their oily and dirty palms.
