GRADING THE PORTFOLIOS!

Before you start...THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!!! My students are very, very excited that PROFESSIONALS will be looking at their portfolios. A
little background, this is a beginning design course...based on Photoshop techniques. There is some focus ART topics such as balance, composition, focus,
etc., however the focus is on technique. Also, many of these students have only been using PS for 3 months, but they have come pretty far with their ex-
perimenting. I hope you enjoy their work as my students will enjoy hearing your feedback.

1. Visit the student portfolio online. This will be sent to you via email. Click on the link to be directed there.
Their portfolios are organized like this:
2. Read their blog and their personal reflections for the rationale to their design. Please

3. Grade by the Rubric: you will be responsible for grading EFFORT/TECHNIQUE and CREA-
TIVITY. I will be grading based on my guidelines. (don’t worry about this)
Personal reflection
Note that both categories are very subjective, that’s ok.
That’s why you’re critiquing. :) Use their reflections to inform your critique.

4. HOW TO GIVE FEEDBACK: (The most important part)

Students have been told that you will be leaving COMMENTS on their blogs as their feed-
back. I would prefer you write a note to them, however bulleted points will do just fine. In
