**M/S Boys Basketball Club Banquet: Tonight, Dec. 11, in cafeteria at 6:30pm. The M/S Boys Basketball Club is sponsored by the Franklin Co. Parks & Recreation Dept. **Hats Off to our Varsity Cheerleaders: They were not scheduled to cheer at an important home basketball

game Saturday night vs W. Gadsden. Although they did not dress out, they came to the game, sat together, and cheered hard for our teams. GO VARSITY SEAHAWK CHEERLEADERS!! ALSO, the Seahawk Fans were treated to wonderful half-time entertainment Saturday night . . . the Apalachicola Youth League (boys and girls ages 7 to 12) played a scrimmage game. The fans loved them! Note of praise sent in by Dolores Croom.

**Senate Page: Any student, age 15 or older, interested in being Senate Page should see Mr. Robinson before Jan.4. **Winter Wishes: 8th Grade Fundraiser- order a candy bag containing a message for a FCS classmate or co-worker for only $1.00! Order thru Dec. 14 - Delivery on Dec. 18. See an 8th grade student to order. **Secret Santa Shop: Thru Fri, Dec. 10-14, in room 421! Elementary students may purchase gifts for friends & family. Teachers may send students to the Secret Santa Shop at their discretion. **M/S Winter Social: Wed, Dec. 12, in cafeteria, 2:30-5:00pm. Students may bring other clothing to change into after school is dismissed. Admission is $3.00 & there will be concessions available @ .50/item. This is a fundraiser for middle school. DONATIONS NEEDED: Concession items of can drinks, individually wrapped treats, paper napkins, also Christmas decorations! NO EXTENSIONS! **Photo Exhibit: Tues, Dec. 18, the M/S photo literacy students will host a photography exhibit in the FCS library from 4:00-6:00pm. **Eastpoint Nest Fundraiser: Christmas Cookie Fundraiser! Sugar, gingerbread men, red/green M&M, & chocolate peanut butter kisses cookies. One dozen cookies- $6, 2 dozen -$10, after that all dozens-$5. Put orders in the Nest mailbox. Order forms due to EP Nest by Fri, Dec. 14. Staff orders delivery on Mon, Dec. 18.

**Florida Inclusion Networks First Fridays: Families are invited to join the Florida Inclusion Network (FIN) on the first Friday of each month from now until May 3, 2013. The Northwest Region of FIN will be hosting toll free calls from 10-11:00am EST. This time will be spent talking about the inclusion of your child, ideas or concerns you may have, & FIN resources that can support you & your family. GED CLASSES
The Franklin County Adult Education Courses will be offering GED classes at the Franklin County School in the near future. The next GED Test will be given Feb. 4 & 5, 2012 at the Franklin County School library at 6:00pm. To register for the test or for classes, contact Maxine Creamer @ 670-4481. The Franklin County Adult Education Courses do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, National origin, age, handicap, or marital status. **The Federal McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act states that children & youth who lack a fixed, regular, & adequate nighttime residence are considered homeless.
