WHAT IS WIRELESS TECHNOLOGY

Wireless technology lets you send and receive information without using wires. It can be said to include simpler, older, devices like car radios, baby monitors and even television remotes. However, when we talk about wireless technology, we mean electronic devices are linked or networked together. These devices can receive and send large amounts of information over radio waves. Wireless technology also puts information at your fingertips from practically anywhere in the world. It allows you to connect with friends and family with ease, even if there isnt telephone line nearby. Wireless technology sets you free, so you can create a workspace from practically anywhere. Morden technology has given us easy, convenient way to transfer information, communicate and entertain ourselves. Wireless technology includes mobile phones, wireless internet connection and handheld devices such as PDAs. Not long ago, if you wanted to have a privacy phone call, you needed a long cord to pull it into your room. If you wanted to surf internet you had to do it in your room, office, or public computer in the library. Not too long ago, you had to stand up and knob on the tv to change the channel. But thats all changed, in the modern times, you can chat with your friends on wireless headset, send emails on your blackberry as shown in figure 1, and download new songs on your iPod. You can do it anywhere and everywhere.

WHAT IS INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

Information technology is the use of computers and software to manage information. In some companies, this is referred to as Management Information Services (or MIS) or simply as Information Services (or IS). The information technology department of a large company would be responsible for storing information, protecting information, processing the information, transmitting the information as necessary, and later retrieving information as necessary. Today, the term information technology has ballooned to encompass many aspects of computing and technology, and the term has become very recognizable. The information technology umbrella can be quite large, covering many fields. IT professionals perform a variety of duties that range from installing applications to designing complex computer networks and information databases. A few of the duties that IT professionals perform may include data management, networking, engineering computer hardware, database and software design, as well as the management and administration of entire systems.
