Intercede with Us for the Muslim World!
...the Lord sets prisoners free, the Lord gives sight to the blind, the Lord lifts up those who are bowed down, the Lord loves the righteous (Ps 146:7b-8). The Lord did all this for us when we were bound, blind, and bowed down, and He wants to do the same for every Muslim who opens his eyes and turns to Him. Let us pray this week that they will see and recognize Him.

Today's Prayer Requests: From Students and Alumni

SIERRA LEONE: An alumnus asks us to pray for the churches and Christians, that the Lord will give us a burden for Muslim evangelization in this country. Here in Sierra Leone we have an inter-religious council whose sole aim is to foster peaceful Muslim-Christian coexistence. It is in a subtle way good but undermines our evangelistic zeal towards them. Quite apart from them being mostly animistic in practices, they form the majority of our population, and there is a real need for strategically targeting them in our evangelistic efforts, but this is lacking. We need prayers for us to rise up to the challenge. GHANA: Please pray for the efforts of pastors to raise awareness and raise up prayer groups in their churches on behalf of Muslims.

IRAN: Pastor Behnam Irani has been imprisoned since May 2011 for anti-state activities. Severe beatings caused ulcers and colon problems, but he has been refused surgery that was promised months ago and now suffers a blood infection and is unable to speak. Sources close to him say the neglect is deliberate. Please pray for God's healing touch and for his witness among his fellow prisoners. A letter he wrote in October tells of his struggles and determination to show them love; read it at http://bit.ly/YQUyBC. Pray that the Lord will encourage his wife and two children. EGYPT: Despite opposition protest, a referendum to accept Egypt's new constitution is scheduled for Saturday 15 December. The document was hastily written after a walk-out of secular and Christian Constitutional Assembly members and reflects Muslim ideology. President Morsi has given power to the military to arrest civilians until the announcement of the results. Please pray that God's Spirit will touch Egyptians in the midst of uncertainty.

Pray for Indias 178 million Muslims to freely hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Only Indonesia and Pakistan have more Muslims than India, yet Islam is a minority religion here, claiming only about 15% of the population. There are some 400 Muslim people groups. While India has more evangelical Christians than ever before, very few are working to reach Muslims. Please pray that the Lord will call more into this harvest field and open doors before them.

For Muslim Women**

Please pray for Muslim women everywhere who will be aware of Christmas celebrations taking place around them that these women will search for the source of our Christmas joy, and that they will find HIM!
