Data Configuration Overview

NodeB initial data configuration

Definition: NodeB initial configuration is the process of preparing and configuring the data after the NodeB hardware components are installed. The configuration is based on the NodeB hardware components, network planning, and data negotiation

between the NodeB and other equipment. After the configuration, a data
configuration file is generated. Scenarios: A new NodeB is required during the initial phase of network construction. A new NodeB is required during network optimization

WRFU support the hot backup mode and cold backup mode

MRRU only support the cold backup mode

The backup mode should be configured in properties of the RRU chain/ring When the chain/ring is in hot backup mode, only the WRFU can be added The hot backup ring can not support the upper layer cascading The RRUs are of the following types: MRRU, RHUB, PRRU, and WRFU

The RRU Chain of the distributed NodeB supports the configuration of three
RRU types: MRRU, RHUB, and PRRU the RRU Chain of the macro NodeB supports the configuration of four RRU types: MRRU, RHUB, PRRU, and WRFU

Configure the IP route

If the gateway type of the route is Ethernet, the next hop address and the gateway IP address must be in the same network segment If the NodeB and RNC are in layer 2 networking The IP addresses of the FE ports on the NodeB and RNC should be in the same subnet If the NodeB and RNC are in layer 3 networking The next hop address is the IP address of the router that connects to the NodeB or the IP address of the port on a layer 3 switch. The destination address of packets has the corresponding route in the routing table. The corresponding link layer address can be found only when the router specifies the next hop IP address (gateway).

Configure the QoS

To configure signaling and OM priorities IP Quality of Service (QoS) is an IP network capability to provide specific services over the IP network that uses mutiple bottom-layer network technologies such as MP, FR, ATM, Ethernet, SDH, and MPLS

IP QoS supports the switching between the IP precedence and DSCP

The IP QoS configuration is flexible

Configure the OM

Ensure that the route from the LMT (or M2000) to the subnet is configured Only one OM channel can be configured If you choose an OM channel in the upper part of the OM tab page, the corresponding route is displayed in the lower part The destination IP address of the OM channel is the IP address of the NodeB LMT or M2000

HUAWEI TECHNOLOGIES CO., LTD.

Page 44

Configuring Transport over IP

Configure the IP path

The IP routes for destination addresses are available The IP path does not have bandwidth limit. Therefore, to configure the IP path is to differentiate service priorities. When the HSDPA service is transmitted, configure two IP paths with different path IDs. The two paths correspond to R99 service and HSDPA service. There is no service priority at the NodeB side. Therefore, configure one IP path at the NodeB side If you choose one path on the upper part of the IP path tab page, the corresponding links are displayed in the middle part and the corresponding route is displayed in the lower part
